I'm starting a thread for this.

I'm very very interested in moving to the Triangle, have a bunch of friends there, love the city, etc...

But before I move I need a job.  Anyone got ideas where I can look? I do editorial work/writing/Web production...

Idk, I've grown attached to the Jefferson/Dekalb neighborhood... I have a lot of friends around here and a favorite bar and a favorite bartender at that bar and I know where everything is in the grocery store etc etc.

I just think people are nice around here.... even the cat calls are nicer here than anywhere else I've lived... I never feel unsafe.

Morgan stop is terrifying and everyone gets mugged and everyone gets bedbugs.  That is the only legit terrifying neighborhood I've ever lived in.

You could just take your own advice....

Hit a nug. Get buck wild.

....like I'm one to talk.

HAHAHAH Steve's advice for taking care of a cat... CLASSIC YOUNG STEVE

Yeah, I mean, I hated my last full time job, but as my man akpasta said, you get used to it and just do whatever you want on your off hours.

Right now I'm unemployed and realized I hate this wayyyy more than having a shitty 9 to 5.  If I had money to travel and shit i'd love all this time off, but right now I'm just trying to spend as little money as possible and still get wasted/go to shows.  I want a full time job so bad right now.

Cities / Re: Rank these cities according to the Termbro lifestyle

im thinking of moving too but never considered raleigh. any other termbros got the low down? is it cheap to live on say a regular retail paycheck or somthing comparable? how about local bands/record/thrift shops?

I live in Raleigh, it's ok. Cheap (well not expensive) rent, big art scene, lots of touring bands come through the triangle, lots of thrift stores, great restaurant scene. In my opinion the local record stores suck with the exception of Chaz's Bull City Records in Durham and Im not so sure about shows as of late though, I think you have to have a secret code to find out about them, unless its a club show listed in the local weekly. Raleigh wants to think it's a big city, Durham is half gangster and half artsy and chapel hill is left wing and uptight as hell. I'd rather live in Wilmington, which is about an hour and a half away.

I am looking to move to the Triangle ASAP,  if you hear of any job openings let me know! We can hang out and talk about records.

Mozzarella gravy fries are Disco Fries and ruuuule.  A staple of tri-state area 24 hour diners.

I don't really like the Burger King fries but I lovvvve Burger King.  I like the burgers, but I usually just get the original chicken tenders... they're weird and maybe gross I guess, but i've been eating them since I was a kid.  You also gotta love the frozen coke.

I used to be all about Popeyes (which is, of course, way superior to KFC) but I just think my system can't handle fried chicken in any form at all anymore.

I mean Two and a Half Men is a shitty show but I've always loved Charlie Sheen because, as user Hillside_Wrangler once pointed out to me at our old crappy TV job, the whole concept of that show was "shit don't stick to Charlie Sheen"... he was just doing whatever the fuck he wanted on that show, making the big bucks, and spending it on cocaine... I also loved Major League... but at least he's not being boring like fucking LiLo, he's still America's Sweetheart, will love him forever.

I really don't care that Taco Bell's meat is only 35% meat... what's the rest, TVP? Who cares.  I know it's all crap, the particular brand of crap doesn't bother me.

I hate everything at McDonalds except for breakfast but i LOVE their breakfast, there is just something so perfect about the Egg McMuffin.

I'm pretty into Subway and Chipotle, but I can't eat Chipotle anymore because one burrito (the way I like it) is like 30 Weight Watchers points.

Also, not exactly fast food but Cracker Barrel is my favorite chain in the world, try to go whenever I'm driving somewhere.

I've thought about this a bunch, got sick of getting into awkward conversations at bars with dudes... i feel like dudes in Brooklyn don't like it if you know music they don't... so lately when the "what kind of music do you like?" question comes up I just say "well, my favorite band is the Beatles." Everyone can talk about The Beatles so it works out well.
