TIM082

Our reissue of Del Shannon's "The Further Adventures of Charles Westover" should be up on the site for sale on Monday (www.troubleinmindrecs.co m) - remastered from the OG tapes, with restored artwork by Henry Owings. Looks & sounds amazing!

TIM075

ALSO FOR SALE ON MONDAY: our reissue of The Dentists' debut single "Strawberries Are Growing in My Garden (And It's Wintertime)"

These were both supposed to be available on in Nov... pressing plant delays.

Pretty much every label in the world is currently dealing with 16-week turnaround, and often more; that's simply the reality of pressing records in 2014. Funny that this label thinks their situation is somehow unique.

It's really that bad? I thought I had it bad with a 6 week turnaround time :/
I had been averaging 8 despite the nightmares I heard from other labels, but my sales rep just left my pressing plant, and with her gone I'm scared I'll get lost in the shuffle.  Most plants are averaging 12-16 week turnaround right now.

Was Kaley your rep?

First one (s/t from '71) is totally killer & the second one "The Need of Love" is almost as good. They both have that afro-centic jazz-soul feel a'la Phil Cohran or Art Ensemble but with a dash of Sly & the Family Stone or something like that... the other have their moments, but it was downhill pretty quick after that

Total Control - Typical System streaming bullshit
A vastly superior record to their debut.

Yep. Definitely.

PRex copies are coming... hang tight. I think Goner has 'em first 'cuz they ordered direct from the band, but Ektro's US distro (aka Thrill Jockey) is getting them soon & then we will be getting them soon after that. Cheaper too.

Love Satan's Little Pet Pig.

Great album.

Great album - right around the time of the Blackout they played (06?) they were one of the best live bands stalking the planet.

Just went balls deep on the Iron Claw reissue. First three sides are fucking killer. Heavy and dark. Fourth side loses a bit of momentum because the songs are a little sorter and seem to ape popluar sounds of the day more. they even admit they were going for a more "Stones" sound for singles. Killer reish of King Productions, who also brought you that killer Jerusalem reish a while back. grab.
Yeah, listened to mp3s of this over the past couple days, though I think it's an older reissue with different track order. Wanna order this for sure, though. A cut (or two or three) above a lot of generic HEAVY ROCK reissues.

The whole first LP is amazing front to back... I would also recommend the Icecross reissue as well...
