I concur.  great job all the way around, from packaging to artwork, and of course, great effing songs.

so, P&tP said (via MS Post) that the Rob's House Record is out, although nothing is showing on the RH site about it.  Care to shed some light, anyone in the know?

(also, sleeveless P&tP shirts?  that's tops!)

When I get the records I'll make an announcement about what's left for mail order. I will probably let these sit in the store for a week or two for locals first though.

what about the colored variety?  any chance of having those via mail order from 1234?

No one leads off with "they're exciting" or "they have so many great tunes." Yolks are so much better than this band.

hmmm...I think "Heard You Wanna Beat Me Up" is awesome.  the 50's style guitar that's clean and reverb-y fit perfect with the lyrics, imho.  Haven't heard the rest of the record yet, but I liked both of their 7"s as well.  Woe Is Me, and their take on Baby Please Don't Go are welcome songs added to my collection.

as for the Yolks, I've gotten into them lately and I think they are fucking great as well, but they don't seem that comparable, style-wise, to the Strange Boys.

Production on it kills.

I think Jay Reatard produced the record, if i remember correctly.  can't wait to hear the full length...

I semi-recently got the repress of the Cynics "Rock N Roll" but I see that was a 1989 release.  Seems like it has a few hits on it.  I missed out on the 90's garage boat for being a lame High School kid.

awesome.  didn't think i'd blow it on the Novak lp, though...gotta wait for Florida's Dying or somesing...
343

The Giants should just get it over with and offer Manny 3 years at $60 million. You know he'll take it at this point. Then they can trade Randy Winn to someone to make up some of the dough.

I have to think the Doyers would match that.  You guys are already at your payroll from last year so I can't see you guys dropping $20mil on top of it.  I believe Manny will be in Blue, and there is no hurry.  That guy could wake up tomorrow and hit a 95 mph pitch on a line.
