Laser Tag Helmets were easily the best band on Mutant Pop. I know of quite a few Cecils, which is why Eric is Eric Cecil Cooper Lastname III, esq.

Lovable, gullible, armless, harmless, ten feet tall and wet.
Blah blah blah blah blah blah Bob clamPET.

Cecil Cooper is one of the most famous Milwaukee Brewers from the Series years.

Alright - was the Chitwood act still going in the early 70s? I saw a non-Evil one that my Dad had seen when he was younger - I wonder if that was it?

The comp in the title is excellent.

Sparks, well, I thought they were gay 80s wave until recently (from discussions on here and the ITR thing). I picked up singles from '74 and '77, and they are both really great. Now I gotta pick up some of the LPs.

I'm almost positive I saw Chitwood as a really young kid at Door County Fairgrounds. Lots of jumps and explosions. The thing is, I already was aware of Evil at the time, so I dunno about all this rip off shit. There were a lot of people doing daredevil crap in the 60s-70s.

You're probably right.  I dunno.  Someone asked my take on WI and I gave it.

If you want to do takes, start an "Eric Lastname, what's your take..." thread. This one is about you and stuff.

Eric Lastname has cooties.

By the way, you'll like it even better after taking a break from listening to it - I put the songs on tape for my ride to work, and I was moshing in the fast lane. I'll try this marijuana you speak of later tonight.

OK - I'll talk to Justin. I'd like to wait a week or two before making cuts & decisions, though.

This shit's not even close to done. I just wanted to tell the Keith story. You can wait a few months to hear it - hasn't it taken that Carbonas record like 2-3 years to come out?

I don't know that there's a big difference between people in the small town in Arkansas that Paddy grew up in than a town of a similar size in Wisconsin, other than the amount of teeth. People in this region are overall "more educated" than on the bayou or the desert or the plains, but they're still 'necks. WI is weird, I think, but it's because I live here & know all the quirks. Trying to be objective...Eric's small town was probably the same as mine. As for Milwaukee, that group of people have been together for a long damn time - they moved from whatever small towns over to Green Bay, and then all picked up TOGETHER and moved to Milwaukee, so yeah - pretty tight-knit group that's gone through a lot of pains to stay together. I don't think you get attitude from a "normal" sampling, other than the FIB shit, but that's just state-to-state rivalry - almost all states have an arch-nemesis.

KeithV as Catholic Boys record producer:

* Friday - Keith gets really drunk. Argues with engineer right away, gets "faced," drinks heavily from that point on. Passed out on couch for around 4 hours in control room, punctuated by "they told us (pointing at me and Andy Jukeboyd) to be assholes," "hey Albini, ya fuck," "turn up the guitars," and other, similar shit. Knew what a "rare" homemade guitar pedal was, what it was called, and who made it. Impressed the engineer at first, then kept yelling for him to "turn it up" (I can't remember the name of the pedal) while it sat unplugged on Keith's lap or on the table.

Gets off couch at 3:00 AM, and DRIVES from south side to north side after stumbling down stairs and giggling evilly. Hangs out at Nick's house for a couple hours, half passed out. Makes a lot of prank phone calls.

* Saturday - Keith isn't there at meeting time. Several calls throughout the day turn nothing up.

* Sunday - Keith calls and apologized for Friday and Saturday, and says he can make it for a while on the Sunday mix. He comes for an hour or so, looks at his watch, and takes off because he and "the little lady have some shit." Calls late at night when we're almost done and says he "may stop in" (he doesn't).

That was awesome! And the recording turned out great and everything worked out forever Amen.

I know we had Keith call Lastname A LOT around that time of night. It could have been Keith. Or maybe we were encouraging it? I can barely remember the weekend already.

One of Richard's pigs has nuts the size of Lastname's fist. "I Wanna be Somebody" is absolutely a guilty pleasure song - total metal punk anthem. I dunno why I like it.

The singer is from Wisconsin, and his brother was the guy who came up with the doppler radar.

His brother "Doppler" Sean lives in Wausau now (he does weather there). I used to see him years ago walking his twins in a stroller. He's a total dick! He looks like a shorter, fatter version of REO Kevin.

Eric, if you are really bored and looking for adventure, I will be in Milwaukee from Friday at about noon until late Sunday/possibly Monday. It's an hour away. Come party! This goes for anyone - I wanna do some partying! Party!!!

But admit it, you'd probably rather listen to awful Who than a lot of other things that end up passing for "good" to "great" these days, right?

I'm not EL, but I very much disagree with that statement. Name an example. I'd much rather listen to even mediocre punk rock or garage singles from 2005 than later Who shit - I don't really like ANY Who over the last 30-35 years. Total bloated pomp - I'll take a songless blown out shitstorm over that mung.

EL, even though this isn't a take thread, it's turning into one - what's your take on that? Was that your intention from the start?

Yeah, shut the fuck up Jessay AND Coppens - "Dan" is a cool guy, and obviously not a fighter. And threatening someone on a message board is not only

FUCKING GAY YOU QUEERS
it's totally bush league. Start a retard thread and go nuts. That way, I'll know what to skip over. I grew up in redneck country myself, as did this thread's topicmeister and a lot of other people who post on here (including Dan), but that doesn't mean that you have to act like an alcoholic farmer that hates niggers and wears a Ski-Doo jacket and pounds on people in bars because they "look like faggots." Grow the fuck up.

Eric Fucking Cecil, what's your take on me going to Richard's after work last night, smoking strong weed and watching 2 hours of Andy Griffith and eating cheese balls out of a 3 foot high container and then driving back to Green Bay in a blizzard? Was I flirtin' with disaster? Clark almost bit me several times for messing with his chew toy - what's your take on angry dogs?
