Proportionally, the most dominant season champ was *ahem* my 2011 team, the next was Yon's team from 2013. As of right now, this is the tightest season since 2009. There have been a number of major stats regressions in the last month that have kept the leaders changing out regular. My best starter is on the DL and my team is in flux. That's the trick in this league, when to recognize that someone who carried you for a month or two is power-gliding towards blech. And to cut or trade that former stud is painful because they are still doing "okay".

I was handling Danny Salazar in the bargain bin, but gently put him back...while you chewed your lip, balanced on your toes, and watched me do so.

Mercer on the Pirates has 25-HR power, hopefully I catch his hot month as his grip on the job becomes more solid. I'm hot on the Pirates making an offensive push over the next month or two.

My OF is so blandly effective, I mean Adam Jones/Brandon Moss/Alex Rios? Yawn. My only BIG fuckup this year was dropping Brantley early on, I knew he was gonna break out this year but I just. couldn't. wait. I really thought Washington was gonna hand a 1/2 slot to Leonys Martin and drop Andrus to 8/9, so I kept Martin instead. Buried as he now is in that 8/9 hole he'll be lucky to score 70 with 50 RBI. Way to waste a 15/40 talent Washington, you idiot. Martin should = Marte. Nope.

PROPOSAL:

I think the Can't Cut list had a function at some point in time, when the league first started out. Sitting here in 2014 I can't quite see the rationale for it past the first month, other than to force a series of fake trades a la NBA contract/salary dumps.

Unless someone can remind me why I shouldn't by Close of Business today, I'm going to delete the Can't Cut function.
