OK, cool.  Thanks.  I'll send an email about it.

Hey,

Seems like there's a "batch" that have this problem. Possibly towards the beginning of the pressing.

More than happy to replace defected records, just keep the sleeves.

So I got 12 copies of the Mayfair Set 12" from Captured Tracks to sell in my shop.  I dig.  First tune on the B-side really slays.

When I played my copy, the needle jumped around in the last 10-20 seconds of the last cut on the A side.  Upon inspection it looks like a couple of the grooves have a little extra room around em at that point.  So, I set my counter-weight (on the turntable arm) at its maximum and the needle tracked through the noted patch, but the tone arm visibly wiggled around on two or three rotations.

I tested 4 of the 12 copies I got and all of them had the same play results.  Anyone else having this problem?

I'm cool with my personal copy - but some of my customers might put up a fuss.

Woah.  Someone hijacked my post and added the Fucking Faggots.  Wasn't me.  FESS UP!

Anybody wanna bet on Fucking Faggots flippin prices?

You take $300+ and I'll give 5 to 1 odds.

I wonder how much it will flip for.

Maybe the delayed release of the record suckers people into buying it twice?  I'm not savvy termbo haunters, but work-a-day folks who might end up buying it twice.  CD/Digi first off then later the LP.  I've seen it happen in my shop.  Ponytail, Yeasayer, Yeah Yeah Yeahs off the top of my head.  I don't think its on purpose in this case, but it might play to exploit yr audience a bit more.
