Total bummer.  So I assume the Criminal IQ LP that I read about a couple years ago is never going to happen, correct?

What the hell happened to this band?  An awesome 7" on Big Neck and then nothing.  Does anybody know if they're still active?

"Alien Soundtracks" is now out in another bootleg batch of 300 with the cheapo sleeves. Sounds great, though.

My copy arrived in the mail yesterday.  I'm really diggin' the sweet button with the Alien Soundtracks cover art on it.

7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) will uncompress .rar files and is compatible with most of the other types of compression files.  It's open source so it's free and you don't have to worry about spyware or any other nasty programs being bundled with it.

Clif,  is that Pink Reason show you recorded going to be another installment in the Your Choice Live series?  The track on Kevin's myspace sounds great and I would love to hear the whole thing.

Is that show in Harrisonburg, VA with the Nasty Habits or the Nervous Habits?  I might have to make the drive for this.

Bistro and he's out.  Anyways, I wouldn't send it back even if he did have extra copies.  I put the blame on the post office, not Troy.

Do any distros still have a copy of this?  Mine came in the mail today extremely warped.  Luckily, the Church Police 7" didn't warp at all!

Oh shit. Who's gonna buy me one?

If you really want it, they've been popping up on Ebay as Buy-It-Nows for the past couple weeks.  I was thinking of grabbing one, but after reading Malto's description I'll keep trying to find a used one.  Does anyone know what the sound quality is like on these?

Music Shit / Re: Best tour band you saw this year so far

Little Claw. Listening to their new album on Ecstatic Peace right now and it's pretty great.

Yeah, Little Claw killed last night. Especially for only playing to about 3 or 4 show-goers and the rest of the onlookers being from the other bands. Really digging the record right now too.

That was a great show.  Their new song, "Feeding You(?)," kills.  How does the album differ from the live show?  The Myspace tracks I've heard didn't leave much of an impression on me so that's why I didn't pick it up.

From the In The Red website (http://intheredrecords.com/pages/news.html):

THE LAMPS / HAUNTED GEORGE split tour 7"
The Lamps and Haunted George (and Cheap Time) are heading up the west coast this summer and we made this limited edition 7" to commemorate the event. Haunted George does a totally demented six minute version of the Lamps' "Ron Campbell". The Lamps do a pulverizing version of George's "I'm Gonna Lynch You". Limited edition of 400 available only here or at the band's shows.

THE LAMPS s/t LP/CD
Some people see this as the band's sophomore release, though we sort of count it as the debut since their first 12" only came out on vinyl and was pretty short -- it was more of a mini album. However you look at it, this new album totally kills and if you like unrelenting, noisy, brutal rock n' roll music you absolutely have to own this.

ALEX WHITE Space & Time LP/CD
The second album from Chicago's Miss Alex White proves that Alex not only avoided the sophomore slump but she raised the bar considerably. A rock n' roll album that sounds instantly classic and timeless.

COMING SOON: John Spencer Blues Explosion - Jukebox Explosion LP/CD, Intelligence - Deuteronomy
