Quemada has new 12"s from Sacred Product and Greymouth. If youre in the states you can get em direct (or just listen to a couple tracks) at http://quemadarecords.bigcartel.com/ or hit up Tedium House, Florida's Dying, Little Big Chief, Crisis of Taste, or Goner.

Overseas look to Bruit Direct Disques (France) or Yellow Moon (Chile), they'll have copies soon.

Australians: be patient, they'll be at the usual suspects soon.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Quemada Update
« on: November 30, 2014, 11:45:17 AM »
Have a new 12"EP out from Elli and Bev, a new duo from Melbourne. It features Karl from Hammering the Cramps, A Band Called Life. Bleak pop in the Tasmanian tradition. Somewhat like Drunk Elk without the guitar jangle. Its a split release with Albert's Basement

Speaking of, I have a few copies of the excellent Bearded Iris tape on Albert's Basement in the distro.

Also, doing a sale on some of the older stuff to make room for some massive 12"s in the next year. First up in that batch: Greymouth (Japan/NZ).  Get ready, its a beast.

Get it all at the new streamlined webstore: http://quemadarecords.bigcartel.com/

Breaking out of the aussie rut (suppose there's worse ruts to be in) for the tenth (!) release.

New Roachclip single is ready to go. Get it  from Tedium House, Goner or direct (http://www.quemadarecords.blogspot.com/) in the US, from Infinite Limits in the UK, from Yellow Moon in South America and from Repressed in Australia.

"Wastex" a new EP from Sacred Product (Lynton from Satanic Rockers) is now available from Quemada Records in the antiquated double 7" format.

If you're in the States get it from the label (http://www.quemadarecords.blogspot.com/) or the fine folks at Little Big Chief, Fusetron, Tedium House or Florida's Dying.

Australians: be patient. Copies will be at Repressed, Albert's Basement and Eternal Soundcheck before too long.

Two new ones from Quemada.

QUE 006 Satanic Rockers Eviction single: debut from these Melbourne sociopaths. Sludgy, swampy lysergicy DIY mayhem.

QUE 007 Kitchens Floor Live in Brisbane: Vinyl reincarnation of the fan favorite Too Dead to Notice tape from NGL presented here remastered and on 12 glorious inches on vinyl. Long time in the works, but you can finally give the ole tape deck a rest.

Both will be available on August 9th at www.quemadarecords.blogspot.com and will soon be at your favorite stores and mailorder joints (assuming your favorites are the same as mine).

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Mad Nanna and Mole House singles
« on: January 02, 2012, 06:49:57 PM »
Happy new year! Have two new ones that some of yall may take a liking to...

QUE 004: Mad Nanna-?I Hit a Wall? 7?
We have here the new 7inch single from Mad Nanna. Mad Nanna have quietly built up an impressive discography in a relatively short span with releases on Goaty, Eggy, Wormwood Grasshopper, and their own amazing Albert?s Basement. The A side is an anthem for the ages (by Nanna standards). It lurches and stumbles, makes strides, waltzes and wobbles but manages to stay in a relatively straight line. The B side charges headlong through the muck and rides an early 90s Port Chalmers groove. Artwork is by one Antony Riddell, a Melbourne fixture, artist, author, member of the Weave Movement Theatre and one of the mad geniuses responsible for the under-appreciated Volvox.

QUE 003: Mole House-?Hey Come My Way? 7?
This is the debut from Mole House from Melbourne, Australia. MH is made up of members of Mad Nanna and White Woods (Night People) and sounds like an even mixing of those two bands. A bit more jangle and hook than your typical date with Mad Nanna, but a bit sloppier than a spin with White Woods.

Really excited to announce the release of Stoned Rehearsal from The Garbage and the Flowers. Those of us who know (and by extension, love) TGATF salivate at any news from their camp. I mean they?ve been at it for over two decades and how many records have they put out? Two singles, a double LP and a couple of cassettes? Speaking of which, Stoned Rehearsal is the vinyl edition of one of those tapes released by the band in 2007/8. If, like me, you don?t live in Australia or New Zealand, you most likely haven?t heard this except in a compressed file format.  We spent some time and energy re-mastering it, and it sounds great. It?s like they?re practicing in your own living room, and they brought their dogs. Lucky you.

The album is, true to the title, a stoned rehearsal. They play relaxed, loose and honestly. This is not a record for those who demand precision in execution, but then again, those who make such demands, probably don?t like TGATF anyway.

Its available at www.quemadarecords.blogs pot.com  and is making its way to trusted mailorders as we speak.

Cities / Print shops in NYC?

Before I start running around town in this heat, was wondering if anyone here has a lead on a reliable (and cheapish) print shop for seven inch covers.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Drunk Elk
« on: May 10, 2011, 06:30:36 PM »
New label and the vinyl debut from Drunk Elk. Songs of Roman philosophers and seduction done in the traditional Tasmanian manner which I like to imagine is the result of the an island's worth of teenagers forced to listen to nothing but Xpressway tapes on hand me down ghetto blasters. I'm clearly projecting my own idealized youth on these poor saps, so I'll stop. Heartfelt songs from way way down under.

In the States you can get it direct from me or from Florida's Dying or All Day. In Australia it'll soon be at Stained Circles, Vox Cyclops, Missing Link and Sunshine and Grease.
