FYI: 45 RPM. It can be played on 33 for that extra bluesy feel...

Cities / Print shops in NYC?
« on: July 22, 2011, 07:13:15 AM »
Before I start running around town in this heat, was wondering if anyone here has a lead on a reliable (and cheapish) print shop for seven inch covers.

Old Overholt is decent and cheap. If you got a few more bucks Sazerac and Bulleit are pretty great.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Drunk Elk
« on: May 10, 2011, 06:30:36 PM »
New label and the vinyl debut from Drunk Elk. Songs of Roman philosophers and seduction done in the traditional Tasmanian manner which I like to imagine is the result of the an island's worth of teenagers forced to listen to nothing but Xpressway tapes on hand me down ghetto blasters. I'm clearly projecting my own idealized youth on these poor saps, so I'll stop. Heartfelt songs from way way down under.

In the States you can get it direct from me or from Florida's Dying or All Day. In Australia it'll soon be at Stained Circles, Vox Cyclops, Missing Link and Sunshine and Grease.

Saw them twice, both times by accident. The first time they played after Harry Pussy. And to be fair, anyone playing in that slot is going to sound dull in comparison. The other time I saw in the bathroom changing into their outfits right before they played. They were crakin jokes about their fans. Classy.

I look for it time to time on the eBay. So far Ive only come up with issue 8, which is great. Don't know how it compares to the rest.
And, yes, there is nudity.

Was watching Miracle Mile last night on the TV. Was really into it, but lost the signal right at the end when we find out if the world is going to end or not. Anyone feel like spoiling it for me?
