John Bender reissues...

If you didn't already know about it you might also be interested in the VOD release that's coming out later this year: http://www.vinyl-on-demand.com/VOD_ABO_MITGLIED-1-1.htm
Personally, I'm very, very excited about that Van Kaye and Ignit antholgy. It's about time A Slight Delay gets the proper treatment it deserves.

Any distros stocking The Psychedelic Schafferson Jetplane LP or have I snoozed too long on this already? Also, need that La Bandas LP, and has anything been released by Acid Call and Cindy Sisters as yet (even tapes/CDRs)? I've had the Cindy Sisters and Pastabase myspace tunes on repeat all day, but I need me some more.

Pastabase, any word on the Acid Call 7" and are you still selling copies of Psychedelic Schafferson Jetplane?

I got the Psychedelic Schafferson Airplane from Florida's Dying recently. Try them.

Thanks Clif - might exhaust a couple of Melbourne options first cos it's a litte closer to me, but if no go there I'll fire an email to FD seeming as it don't appear to be on his catalogue pages. Hope there's a Cindy Sisters release in the works - very tasty myspace tracks that have a very Jesus and Mary Chain/Cheater Slicks vibe about em.

$100 already bidded for that SY tee - sheeesh! Conan tee's cool, is it a proper XL or more like a L?

Bran 7" - expensive but neat-o.  I like this dudes stuff.

Aahh, but so worth it. Aside from the fact it's an awsome little single the hand printed cover and booklet easily justifies the cost. Keen to see what this dude comes up with next.

Currently listening to the first 2 7inchers from the latest Bored Fortress club = Gnod/Robedoor and Wet Hair/Peaking Lights both of which sound great, especially the latter. Even Robedoor, who I haven't been so sold on in the past, is pretty good. No psych filler on these. Any other hippeis on to this? NNF seem to be keeping a low profile on this board unless I've missed it: http://www.notnotfun.com/now.html

I'd agree with those sentiments re: Rocker's Escape, got flogged a lot on my turntable in the last 5 or however many years it's been out for now. Been a while between drinks SFWC - are these new tunes or ones that just never saw the light of day? Also, any distros carring/or how much for one of these to OZ?

uh, http://www.greatdividing.com/ is the website & http://greatdividing@gmail.com is the email/paypal address. the button should be working now. thanks for the tip bb much appreciated.
non aust buyers should get the comp lp though Unwucht or the u.s. distros listed.
Thanks 'androo', all paypal'd up - looking forward to hearing this.

anyone in australia or n.z. interested in getting one of these can get 'em from me for $20 ppd
from http://www.greatdividing.com/ http://greatdividing@gmail.com

I think you meant this address right: http://www.greatdividing.com/
$20 AUS inc. post is bloody cheap too, but don't suppose you can get that 'paypal' button to work properly can you, or post a paypal email address here for people OZ side or do we paypal the following one: phs-org@t-online.de

The 3 Toed Sloth LP is superb too. I picked this up last year, and only 100 of these pups hanging around since then - I'm really surprised there's still copies for sale!

Steel Pole Bath Tub 'The Miracle Of Sound In Motion' LP and 'Unlistenable' LP
Criminally underated band of the 90's, at least in Australia anyway. The only record I ever owned of SPBT until recently was the Man's Ruin 7" with the Cheap Trick cover, but hearing these 2 for the first time got me thinking: why did I never see any more SPBT records? Anyway, better late than never. Well done Permanent for getting those copies of 'Miracle' and especially for finally committing 'Unlistenable' to wax. There's still something so fresh about 'Unlistenable' it's hard to believe it's almost 15 years old - maybe it was too ahead of its time for the suits. Best pick ups so far this year.

Got my copy of the Native Cats LP hand deliveredto me at my work by Julian T himself.  After listening to it and the mix tape he made me it is all falling into place finally.

Great, great stuff
Yo, you are one here! Good to see you've finally come round to those cats. Got my copy the other day too. I also got the latest recordings from Julian, which sound incredible (probably more reminiscent of the 7"), but this one still comes with the highest recommendation for those who haven't yet heard it. Nice job Ride the Snake.

Sorry to hijack your thread for a mo DickJohnson, but do you or anyone else seeing this have any other recommendations for fans of Obsession - other comps maybe, whatever?

The "Psych Funk 101" 2xLP that came out recently is kind of similar, and really great despite the cheesy college curriculum liners. More int'l too-stuff from Iran, Russia, South Korea, Greece, etc.

Also the same label just put out "Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas" which is a killer comp-much more garage rock than say the"Tropicalia" comp.

Thanks ben, I saw Fuzz Bananas recently at Permanent or Aquarius and nearly pickd it up - next time then.

I got some fuk'n doozies from this (well, from another tape club thread spawned from this one) that I still play from time to time - introduced me to a lot of stuff I'd never have found out about either. I finally picked up that Ultimo Resorte LP recently 'Poodlebites' BTW if you're reading this - top top album too.

Any other mix cassette clubs going on at the mo on here? Wouldn't mind getting involved in another one sometime if anyone's keen?!

Awesome comp with an equally awsome cover too! I listen to this a lot. If Academy come through with the goods and you like the stuff on Obsession you should definately pick up that Ofege album from them why you're at it, that is if you don't have it already.
