Ive been doing this for quite a  few years now and with very few  complaints, and most of those complaints probably come from people who filed a paypal dispute without contacting me because I told them what I thought of them.  

The few complaints regarding your mailorder skillz come from people who didn't contact you because you told them what you thought of them?

I think it is the sorting faculties that do most of the damage,i got a package the other day marked do not bend that had a tire track across it,maybe they where trying to flatten it out for me,the next day got one that looked like someone hit it with a pipe,record was broken in half.

I agree with the sorting facility assessment.  The automated sorting that the USPS uses will fuck up poorly packaged records big time.  LP mailers without cardboard inserts to fill up the empty space can get caught and bent on the rollers / whatever.  Same for the infamous envelope with only one card board insert 7" packaging jobs where the rollers / whatever burn a hole through the paper into the record sleeve.

This automation explanation was given to me by the post master at the Berkeley station a long time ago. For whatever that's worth.
