It sounds like your holding on to something. Something that is probably not worth holding on to. GIVE UP. Kill yourself now.

This is normal for Houston. 100 degrees 100% humidity for 3 months, and after that is cools down to a brisk 95 for another 2 months. The fall and winters are awesome though. Fuck this place.

Houston only has two seasons... summer and February.

Ha. This is much more accurate.

Music Shit / Re: FREE John Wesley Coleman III "Steal My Mind" mp3's

For what it's worth (if anything), since this thread has been started I've had at least 6 or 7 people PM, email or call me to say "Fuck Goner" or "Nice to see you're sticking up for yourself"...

Those 6 or 7 deep thinkers (real or imaginary?) have a really sophisticated sense of right or wrong.  Really "sticking up for yourself" might involve actually explaining what this "fancy" lawyer said or in some fashion laying out why you believe you have rights to these recordings FOREVER and Wes isn't allowed to make a digital deal of his own.

What would possess a money-hungry, rock biz mercenary like Wes Coleman to take 'Steal My Mind''s digital rights to another label? Perhaps it has something to do with how in the 2 years since 'Steal My Mind' came out on vinyl, it's never before been available on iTunes.  Monofonus Press managed to get 'American Trashcan' onto iTunes. Lord knows how they accomplished this amazing feat without hiring a huge legal team or waving shiny objects in Wes' face.

Spot on. I loved the lawyer line. Like if you don't have money they are completely inaccessible to you.

Oh, a mom and pop label is ok, but a same sex run label isn't? How dare you.

OK to clear this up ..... Goner should leave the "Small, trying to put out good music" labels alone!

Wait, Goner is considered a big label? I mean I guess they are big compared to the guy putting out records from his shitty studio apartment, but I wouldn't consider them BIG.

Goner Records has decided that they want to sell John Wesley Coleman III's "Steal My Mind" LP digitally on itunes or amazon or whatever.

I asked them not to but they lawyered up.
Yes, seriously!!!

Don't give Goner any money for "Steal My Mind", you can download the entire record from Certified PR Records on Soulseek.
Username: Certified PR Records.

Is this Wes?

the most exciting thing about playing music is actually writing songs and hearing them come alive with a full band and then playin em live and then gettin ur dick sucked after the show
