This last episode was poorly dispatched. The Walt Jr. tell-all moment in particular was- much like his character throughout- out of place. The final few hours of the series is masked as a measured dose of adrenaline but uncovered it's just a weak brain freeze. The best TV shows find a way to sail to its closure. BB is on a speedboat, jumping through fire hoops for bonus points. Ratings will be high.

Mason Raymond looks good in a Leafs sweater. He was invited to camp on a pro tryout and all signs point to him making the team. Scored a nice shorthanded goal tonight vs Philly, a team that will rely on Steve Mason and Ray Emery to keep pucks out of the net.

The World- S/T - Handful of tracks from Allen Meek's abandoned early 80s group. Flying Nun prospect. A-side is a bit of a snooze, mild-mannered, maybe just right if you're into Look Blue Go Purple. B-side has a lot more pep.

Bill Direen & The Hat-NYC 1989 -HAT= H.Kilgour/A.Meek/T.O'Blaney. Powertool released this in '06 as 'New York Sack'. I like most of Direen's work, and it is "nice to have this stuff on vinyl", but probably safe to close up the vault now.

Victor Dimisich Band-S/T- Cogle's phantom voice, Heney's slow chugging organ. Yada yada Velvets. Good stuff.
