Music Shit / echoes studios - new recording studio in Seattle

Hey everyone! It's Bryan from the Suspicions (who???), I'm the guy who recorded the first Dutchess & the Duke record (10 years ago!). Well, after mucking around in basements and practice spaces for waaaay too long, I opened a proper studio in West Seattle last May. I've already recorded some Taiwan Housing Project songs, a DYED record (Ruben from Coconut Coolouts), plus a bunch of other weirdo stuff. Let's make some magic! Cheers!

Yeah, that's what I always thought too, not sure why they think they're entitled to use our name???

So a new band out of Brooklyn is using our band's name. We've contacted them, basically telling them our band is using that name already. They wrote back and said we're different genres we should be able to co-exist using the same name. We wrote back saying no freaking way, it's our name, you need to change it. They have not written back. They're about to play their first show.

As anyone had this issue? What did you do?

I should mention our band, it's the Suspicions. I know other bands have used the name in the past, but as far as I know, we're the only the Suspicions that's active and has releases in print, plays shows etc.

So yeah, the Suspicions you guys all know are are not playing in Brooklyn on April 25th, in case you you saw something.

I tried the new Acoustic amps, they suuuuuuck bad. Like really bad. They sounded like my high school band mates $50 early-90's Peavey bass amp. C-r-a-p-p-y.

I played a show with my V4B last night and it sounded sweet. Actually it sounded really, really sweet!

Awesome, thanks everybody. I need to go try some Acoustic stuff for sure. Everything I've read about them is super good, like they sound like pretty close to the original ones, which is definitely what I'm looking for.

I thought about getting new tubes for my Ampeg, but I'm a little hesitant to spend money on something I'm not stoked on. Also, I think I can get a bit of cash for the Ampeg as it is, so I don't want to mess with too much.

Have you played the new stuff? I should've mentioned I'm sick of my old gear, I can't get the sound I want out of it. I don't really care that it's old and cool. Also, I play a 4001 Rick bass, and that's going no where.

I'm thinking of selling my late 60's/early 70's Ampeg V4B head and cabinet and getting a brand new Acoustic B200H head and B115 cab. Am I crazy? Has anyone played those new Acoustic amps? Are they cool live? Whaddayathink???
