Music Shit / New review blog...
« on: May 03, 2010, 11:34:15 AM »
Just a heads up- I've started a new review blog called HOLIDAYS for "alternative" music- don't let the word "alternative" scare you off though, and don't let the noise reviews turn you off either, as I'm very open to any genre, and would like to keep some diversity throughout.

Planning/working on a podcast as a companion to the reviews as well.

http://holidaysreview.wordpress.com

e-mail- holidaysreview [at] gmail [dot] com .

Thanks!

Thought I'd make a second thread, as this record is now on eBay, and ends in 5 hours. Poor timing on my part. Oh well.

Thanks.

I have a first press of this on orange vinyl. Anyone know what it's worth? In great condition- played once.

Thanks.

In a bit of a bind, so I'm selling these two as a pair. Bought both of these when BC toured a couple years ago. The CDR is a tour CD called A Full Tank.

$45

some punk/fake metal/emo stuff added to the Wheaton Records distro. All $4. Also recently found old Spreaders tapes that I released awhile ago.

http://www.wheatonrecords.com

Spreaders - WRMS C20

Weird punk rock from NY. Limited to 30 copies. Recently found a handful in a box. Track "Fruit Gum" can be found on the Wheaton Records Myspace.

Distro - 7"s all $4 (shipping inlcuded)

HDPHN - Not Actual Art 7"

Released by Limbless Records on black vinyl.

"3 tracks of psychotic synth-punk absurdity with too many hands and dizzying tempo changes. RIYL to be throughly impressed. This band could make you sweat just by looking at them. Ex-Necktie Party. Full color covers with art by Ryan Jacob Smith."

Mach Tiver/The Creature - Split 7"

Released by Limbless Records on black vinyl.

"The Mighty Tiver = brother/sister wondertwins play drums and bass, both do vocals, and sound as powerful as a full band ensemble. One that specializes in the certain brand of emo, most often found in the 90's, that really just means hardcore. Cccrrrreeeeaaatttuuurrre eessss = rock me hard until I'm sore, yet so lovingly, melodies jump up and down on your bed. Possibly the only band to touch me in my special places without having met me."

Occam's Razor/They Found my Corpse Face Down in the Snow - Split 7"

Released by Grey Sky Records on black vinyl.

Soliah Shawcross - 7"

One sided 7" released by Limbless Records.

"Ever-so-annoying-neo-no-wave. Discordant guitar and helium vocals backed by a driving disco-punk rhythm section with beautifully tapped and slapped synth sandwiched somewhere inbetween. The least-working band in showbusiness who are still actually a band, they have only played 3 gigs ever (over 3 years ago). 2 songs on the a-side, their words screenprinted on the b-side. New tracks have since been recorded for a split with Mr. California, but the label is sitting on them until the band agrees to at least three more shows to promote the release."

The Dead Hate the Living - Take That, World! 7"

Released by Limbless Records on black vinyl.

They Found My Naked Corpse Face Down in the Snow - Delta India Echo 7"

Released by Grey Sky Records on grey marble.

They Found My Naked Corpse Face Down in the Snow/This Ride Home - Split 7"

Split release from Glycemic and Limbless Records on black vinyl.

"Side A contains the three best Naked Corpse tunes currently commercially available. No valleys, just mountains of ugly hardcore and bloody vocal cords. A rerecording of the last song from their very first 7", when compared to the original, serves to show how much they've grown. Side B comprises the only This Ride Home tunes that will ever be commerically available. As you can tell from the recording, this band was beaten to death by their own guitars and drums, dying in a flurry of painful screams. Ok, they're not really dead, but I swear to fucking god that is what their side sounds like. Green covers with neat screenprinting in black ink, wrapped in a pink strip with silver ink screened. Trust me, they look sharp."

They Found My Corpse Face Down in the Snow/Evening at the Black House - Split 7"

Released by Grey Sky Records and Limbless Records on black vinyl.

This record was pressed just in time for a tour that took both bands across the US in their most weakened and vulnerable states. 2 tracks from Naked Corpse, featuring their most dynamic, and dare-I-say, emotive songwriting. There's probably as much singing as screaming on this guy, but maybe that's not so bad. Not gone however, is their dedication to absurdity and ridiculousness. The ideas played with on these songs are so pushed to the limits of tolerability that they will equally win your love and test your intestinal fortitude. 1 track from EATBH, who sadly only ever pressed one track to vinyl. Luckily, the track is the single best bluesy punk rock and roll song ever written. Naked Corpse went on a 1.5 year hiatus after this record, to rethink a whole lot about very little, and eventually ended up reemerging with 3 new records about to be released and international waters to be soon crossed. EATBH were probably the world's most dangerous band at the time (maybe in history) and as such, imploded before a planned LP for Grey Sky was recorded. Members who survived went on to The Slants and Please Step Out Of The Vehicle."

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / TV Carnage DVDs
« on: April 06, 2009, 02:45:30 PM »
Two TV Carnage DVDs were damaged during shipping, and I'm offering them for $15 shipped ($20+shipping regularly).

TV CARNAGE - Sore for Sighted Eyes - damage consists of a broken case. The top is cracked, but the artwork is still pristine. http://www.tvcarnage.com/dvds/5/

TV CARNAGE- Casual Fridays - spine of the case caved in on the top inch of the case resulting in about a 1 inch rip of the artwork, as well as the clear protective plastic of the DVD case. http://www.tvcarnage.com/dvds/4/

All internal material and discs are pristine within both.

Finally, I'm asking for $10 shipped for debris v.1.

All funds support "debris v.2: Video Escombros" and the "VideoDebris"- the first mixtape webshow.

Any combination of the above three discs for sale will result in a deal.

Shoot me an e-mail at info@undergroundcollector.

EDIT- I should also mention that TV Carnage sells these for $25 on their site.

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / circuit bent DS-1
« on: March 24, 2009, 06:39:38 AM »
Thought I may be able to strike some interest on here with this, as I've also posted it on the troniks forum.

NEW PRICE- ASKING FOR $80 SHIPPED IN THE STATES.

I made it for a little project awhile ago. The creation was experimental, and the music itself as well, considering I had to find the bends I wanted. Not all patches produce effects, but the ones that do are wonderful. Will include a couple RCA patch cables (homemade). Here's a sound sample and photo... Thanks!

Please e-mail kevin@wheatonrecords.com with any questions, or to purchase.

After making the recent "Fingered DVD zine" thread, I figured maybe I could get some interest for my store, Underground Collector.

First and foremost, I'd like to offer my own DVD release, debris.

Here's a trailer...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OY5jCFWDYI

All of these are brand new, and all are limited! All are $12+ Shipping from the Fingered online store, but I'm selling them for less. Shipping is included with prices if you're within the United States.

If you don't know what Fingered is, it's a great DVD zine in which each issue focuses on one particular area, and the artists that occupy it. Aside from issue one, all are hand made, and silkscreened.

Contact me at info@undergroundcollector.com to order. Thanks!
