Music Shit / Telstar Ponies

Anyone remember this Scottish band? I was playing some cool chords on my guitar earlier, and somehow I couldn't figure out immediately that the sequence was a note-for-note rip off of ''The Ballad of Liberty Valance'', so I decided to cover it because it's a great song. Before their final, much more outer space, phase, they sure could write some beautiful straightforward songs. Another one that springs to mind is ''Maps and Starcharts'', which was also put out as a single on the Fire label.

Music Shit / a new song/video
« on: December 13, 2009, 01:12:02 PM »
I don't post on here often, but I thought one, two, maybe four people might be interested in this new track I've recorded a few weeks ago, part of a whole album I've been working on and off all year. I've had a go at making the video for it myself, so the results are a visual push down the stairs to Werner Herzog. I also edited badly the last couple of seconds due to this being the first video I've ever made.  Anyway, the song is called ''Rat Tail Movement''. Slag it off, like it,  or let it die the internet death peacefully.

Music Shit / Nikki Sudden/Swell Maps and related

Any fans on this forum? Songs like ''Chelsea Embankment'' (the original version) sound really similar to some stuff by Hue Blanc's Joyless Ones or Pink Reason, so I was wondering.

Pink Reason's 'Goodbye', do trust me, works very well travelling around Europe. It's perfect.
