Quote
something important is happening.

something which i take great pride in being a part of is on the cusp of great things.

for the better half of the last decade, i have assisted in developing a small, ignoble group of artists and musicians the likes of which only the future is prepared to be exposed to.

generations from now, telepathic languages will televocalize the harmonies of the music written by such bands as florida=DEATH.

there will be tall tales of the house of the New Hawaii - a meager, ramshackle cottage of inequity in the cold-hearted suburbs of central connecticut that housed musical showcases of the best music ever played in front of other bands and their girlfriends, or boyfriends.

there will be coffee tables littered with literature and toilet rooms plastered with aggressive smut, printed directly from the heat of the Hot Air Press.

and somewhere... somewhere in this dilapidated, broken shell of a future for mankind, a lone-standing gramophone (that happens to spin at exactly 33 1/2 rpm) will be playing a one-sided 12" LP, as the last living mammal on earth casts off its fleshy pelt for a more cosmic wardrobe, evaporating into icy dust with the final flickers of our burnt out star system.

in that final moment, there lies the possibility that a tear in the network - the very continuity of the dimensional fibers that intertwine to make the web of our existence possible- may open a sewage hole into a plane when/where the human's earth felt an epidemic of poverty crash into it like waves of lethal space radiation, leaking the vibrations of that 12" album into our collective subconscious membranes.

the people will be too busy, too deficient of attention to heed the desperate outcries being transmitted to them. each of them ignorant to the incoming calamity. all of them doomed...

... all, but one...

...all... but Hobbs...

and so, as it has come to pass, we at the New Hawaii, the constituents of Mr. Hobbs, have taken the path of the knowledge of the ultimate future, and translated those messages through sonic manipulation and music.

the songs from that gramophone of the future's future have been written and recorded, and the time to drop the needle to the songs of Depression Era music are upon us.

do not sleep through the alarm if you wish to arrive promptly into sunless times.

to remain ever-vigilant, you as well can be a part of something important.

... so long as you have a record player ;-P
