Why are some of your records so damn expensive? -
Because they are
super-duper limited editions from Europe that cost a whole lot of
money to get here. It?s vinyl, and it?s foreign, if you are a U.S.
American you should consider it ?reparations? for 200 years of fucked
up foreign policy.LP?sALTERCADO ?El Ruido y la Rabia? LP $10
3rd LP for these hardcore-punk veterans from Chile with an early

a sometimes very unfriendly crowd wanting to hear another NYHC
clone-band instead of thrashy punk in Spanish. Includes a
re-making/re-writing of ?Nic Fit? by the Untouchables.
ALTERCADO ?Radio Rebelion? LP - $14

7? epsControl de Estado ?Ladron? 7? ep - $5
Brandon, Florida's CONTROL DE ESTADO's second EP blasts six tracks of
slightly twisted , straight forward thrash. Single-line bursts of
spirited hardcore with shreded vocals, a la later CRUDOS, spitting
point-blank political lyrics largely in Spanish. Quirky, odd twists,
an occasional SST-styled guitar wail, or just bizzare breaks mix this
up from any sort of formulaic thrash. Nicely packaged in a '90s
styled screened, recycled paper fold-out sleve. Cool!

Illuminati ?Demo? CD-R - $3.50
lluminati was Joao?s (from Redencion 9-11) short-lived post-Redencion
9-11 project in Chile. Although the band only lasted a few months, it
left a lasting impression on those who encountered this powerful and
unpredictable 3-piece. Blending post-hardcore with minimalist punk,
Illuminati took the passion of Rites of Spring and combined it with
the angular wall-of-sound guitar-driven post-punk of Mission of Burma.
Recorded live in-studio over a weekend, this demo sounds rough but
passionate. Five originals in Spanish plus one Wire cover.
