I first heard Delay 68 while working at a record store in DC and the copy was f*cked up and had the same songs on both sides. I haven't picked it up since, mostly I tend to prefer the stuff they did with Damo Suzuki on vocals, although Monster Movie is an awesome album.

do you mean Die Toten Hosen? If so... i saw them in the early 90's, they came to play in Chile and as a student for a german-catholic all boys school I attended in Santiago, we got free tickets. I don't remember if I liked them or not, it was the 90's.

I'm going through a "krautrock" phase, been listening to "Tago Mago" by Can and Neu's 1st LP a lot, I am familiar with Faust, Can and Neu... any other bands/projects I should check out in that similar vein...

A bunch of 30-something punk dudes with beer guts and receding hairlines will be touring in December. They will have a 4 song 12"Ep out in November on Amor y Lucha (www.amorylucha.org)

Below are the places/dates we are having trouble with:

Pittsburgh, PA
Detroit (the Trumbleplex doesn't do winter shows)
Columbus, OH
Chicago, IL
Athens, GA
Richmond, VA
North Carolina (Asheville, Chapel Hill, etc..)

if you have any suggestions on venues/bands/artists to play at/with please post here or send them to birdsandwires@gmail.com.

Thanks!

don't really care much for their music... not to compare, but the  Grass Widows 12" on Capt. Tracks is great, need to listen to their other stuff. I wonder if they'll get as much hype as the VG, if they do, they deserve it.
