A friend of mine was named and shamed in a company wide email as being "terminally bored" by the IT guys at his work when they saw how much time he spent reading these boards.

A band that I hated at first and slowly grew to love.

I was the same.

Really like Teeth and Lick My Boots

You're in Australia aren't you? Try Dion at Shout Out Loud - dion.waterman @ shoutoutloud . com . au

We've used him for a bunch of the Aarght! 7" sleeves. He says he's recently got this new printer which can do short runs cheaply. I'm not sure of the specifics but if you want 300 two-colour sleeves, he can do 100 of three different two-colour combinations. Some old school process. Worth asking.

Thanks! I am in Australia, I'll get in touch.

Jackets like this are "gang-run," meaning that a number of jobs are run at once, generally at a minimum of 1000 plus overrun. The set up costs of running the press to do 100 copies of one sleeve just aren't worth their time. Basically, you need to pay for at least 300 and junk whatever you don't use. Try Hamlett for paper sleeves, Imprint for foldover covers or cardstock jackets.

I think screen printing plain sleeves myself is probably my best option because I just don't need that many.

Thanks for the info.

Music Shit / Small Quantity 7" Jacket Printing
« on: December 15, 2011, 09:43:29 PM »
I'm looking to get a small batch of 7" cardboard jackets made up, I probably only need 50 but if someone did 100 I'd pay the extra to have someone else print them.

All I want is plain white jackets with pretty basic artwork printed on them for the last 50 or so records left of a pressing that had hand drawn artwork on the others

Is there anywhere that will do such low quantities or would my best option be to buy plain white jackets and screen print them myself?

I tried searching for old threads but couldn't find too much on here.

The origingal recordings were amazing enough - adding the demos makes it untouchable. Great lp.

Yeah I'd agree with this. These demos are definitely worth hearing, it's a great overall package.
