Alex Chilton of "Big Star" Dies

    We've just confirmed the death of legendary Memphis musician Alex Chilton.

    Chilton is best known for his work with Big Star and the Box Tops.

    He died of a heart attack tonight in New Orleans.

    Big Star was supposed to play in Austin Saturday.

    For the non-music nerds out there, you probably have heard Big Star's work as the theme song to "That 70s show."

    Chilton was 59 years old.
