Time to relive my favorite unused band names...

Drippy Kids
Ruthless Dukes
Chattering Caresser

These are not free. I retain them for my own use if I can ever get another band off the ground to play at least one show.

A buncha my faves have been listed already, but I don't see anyone else voting for the Protomartyr LP, which I dig immensely.

Is it all as good as "Ypsilanti," or is that a clear highlight?

Gotta love that bouncy rhythm and deft hi-hat work. Maybe the best song for that sorta thing since "Age of Consent" by New Order?

Yeah, that song is a highlight, but one of many.

I couldn't make it out to that one. I threw 'em a show at a coffee place in Sacto. 16 Bitch Pileup were better than usual that night, andthe artist formerly known as Kevin Shields was especially awesome, too. Definitely the best show I ever saw at that place.

I didn't know everyone was ripping on Stockton since last month. Sorry I didn't notice sooner.

It is pretty grim there, but there are a couple factors which redeem it as far as I'm concerned...

First, the east side of the city has the most taco trucks per capita of any city I've ever seen. I counted 40+ of them in one day. Each of the four I've tried randomly ranged from very good to great.

Second, the band Godspeed 209 is totally killer. They'd be recommendable to fans of the Puffy Areolas. Not as much guitar-facemelt action, but a little bit more hardcore.

And going back to the early punk/HC heyday, of course, you've gotta give it to The Authorities.

Such a great live band!

Such a rare band to transcend smelling really bad. Fortunately, though, the smell was more like a rotting citrus-tinged B.O. rather than fecal. That makes a big difference. As much as it made my eyes water and throat clench occasionally throughout the performance, I felt like that olfactory assault even heightened the drastic-ness of their music.

I'm stoked to hear of the coming 2xLP.

Girlfriend rock doesn't hafta be music that a girlfriend would listen to.

It's just an excuse a dude would use to explain away something in his record collection to his friends who might otherwise ridicule him for it.

That is what I intended with my definition.

"The Slow Process of Self Decay" by Mercury 4?F was in my head this morning. I wish I could share a YouTube of it or something, but no dice. Such an underrated band. Anyway, that must've been a gnarly dream.

If they are worthless to you, post a set sale with a minimum number of records per order. Surely you've moved on from what other people still like.
