Most underrated Beach Boys song ever: "Busy Doing Nothing," where Brian sings the directions to his house. Love it!

Who doesn't love that song?  Friends, the album on which it appears, is probably my favorite Beach Boys record.  It isn't a major statement like Pet Sounds and it isn't as radical as Smile, but it has all the elements that make the Beach Boys great, and it's full of great, rather weird little songs that presage the big California hangover of the early seventies.  It's also the first real "stereo" Beach Boys record, what with Brian's gimpy ear and all.

my fave too,

plus the massively underrated "love you" and "little deuce coup" albums.
