I'm sick of the desperately trying to be anti-hip bullshit that goes on around here.  Most of you look like lame hipsters anyway.

Yeah.

Long ago it used to have a lot of good stuff (Homosexuals -  Ici La Bas EP for $5!) but I haven't found anything on GEMM in years. Seems like a lot of the stuff on there has been sitting there forever because it's way overpriced. It seems to me like discogs took their model & made it a little more user-friendly.

This. Occasionally you'll find a good deal, though.

Cities / Re: Dallas?
« on: December 19, 2011, 04:15:31 PM »
I'm more of a Fort Worth guy/fan. Go to Doc's (one of my all-time favorite record stores, whether it's DFW, SF, ATX, BK, LA, whatever), the Kimbell, El Asadero (order the green enchiladas or else!!), Salsa Limon (great, great, great tacos, tortas, and whatever else), and/or Benito's (huevos rancheros and migas are ace for breakfast, queso blanco is a must). Spiral Diner is nice if you are into veg food. Maybe go to In N Out Burger (locations in Frisco, FW, Dallas, Allen, and Arlington) if you're wanting a little California squeezed in yr trip. Otherwise, all of Ass Invader's recs are spot on.

Hey Skyler, I thought you might chime in - I have to agree that down-to-earth Fort Worth is superior to highfalutin' Dallas in every conceivable way.  What's new in the bustling city of Cleburne?

Absolutely nothing dude! I'm ready to get out! How's Portland?!

I have no idea why, but they really are different.  Dallas wants to be NYC or something - it tries to be all glitzy and glamorous and shit.  Fort Worth has much more of a small town feel, even though it has a pretty large population.  Most people from Fort Worth hate Dallas, and vice versa.

Yeah, this exactly. Pretty much opposites in every way, unless you count the ghettos of each city. I generally feel everyone in Dallas thinks they are better than everyone else, especially in North Dallas. Just shitty attitudes all around. Fort Worth on the other hand is about as small town as a big city can get. It's very laid back and friendly.

ON HOLD.
VG++ with about 1 1/2 inch seam split on top, promo stamp on back/VG+ with one kinda bad looking scratch and some very minor scratches, none that affect play

I know some dudes on here have been wanting some Leeboy. Original promo press on Mercury of Lee Hazlewood's first album, released in 1963. It doesn't have the psych, soul, or orchestral moves that later Hazlewood has, as this his was in the first era of Hazlewood's albums (Trouble, N.S.V.I.P.'s, Friday's Child/Houston), all of which were pretty straightforward country/folk/rural tunes, but very fine records nevertheless. Has commentary before the songs, which I normally hate, but Hazlewood of course makes it work. Great, recommended record.

Future Days is one of my all-time favorite albums. It's one of those records that I feel is nearly a perfect/flawless record. Outside of that, Ege Bamyasi and Soundtracks are probably my favorites. One More Night and Mother Sky foreva...

You don't have to own a tube amp to steal tubes.
Tubes are worth money regardless.
Sadly no one can accuse anyone of anything because no one has proof.

Creamers would not ever steal tubes from another band. End of story.
