URBAIN AUTOPSY was a Paris based band who released over 80 tracks on self produced tapes between 1984 and 1987. Drawing their influences from Suicide, The Residents, Throbbing Gristle to Joy Division or Bauhaus to name a few, they had their own way of combining power electronics, industrial, experimental, cold wave, post punk...

This LP contains 12 tracks emblematic of their short "career" and comes with an 8 page biography. Pressing quantity is 200. All sleeves are handmade. There are many different artworks (some of them unique), different letterings, etc.

Two new old records available at the Memoire Neuve headquarters.

38 Tonnes is famous in collector circles for having cut a great and very rare heavy metal sp in 1981 (now repressed on Cameleon records BTW). What we discovered in tracking down the band is they had started in the 70's and had recorded a studio session in 1978 that we now have the pleasure to unleash upon mankind... 3 tracks mixing hard rock and punk rock engraved on a great looking black vinyl 7''!

RFC (les Residus de Fausses Couches, please google translate), street punkers from the suburbs of Paris, released a great 7 track demo tape with tasty lyrics in 1983. We also had a live from 1984 in stock but had to strive a couple of years for pictures and flyers. The time to compile all of these rare pieces and a detailed bio onto a color printed innersleeve and to remaster, and now the LP is born, alleluia...

LES FRAISES DES BOIS (THE WILD STRAWBERRIES) was a band from Clermont-Ferrand, formed in 1965. Their very rare and sought-after unique EP contains four covers: "You better run" from the YOUNG RASKALS with a huge garage sound, "Tell me" from the ROLLING STONES, and two tracks from the KINKS, all brilliantly executed with the right spirit and recorded in Paris in one afternoon! They played many times in the capital city area and opened for the KINKS and Jacques DUTRONC...
Most copies were lost. Being probably the best record on the cult DMF label, it is now getting the reissue treatment it deserves in exact repro sleeve.

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Ankh 7'' reissue
« on: December 17, 2013, 09:24:55 AM »
ANKH was founded in Normandie in Autumn 1974, played mainly in public schools and festivals in their region, before calling it quits in Autumn 1977. Their one and only 7'' released by the end of 1976 and sold exclusively at gigs offers with "Les maitres du temps" one great heavy prog track while the flip "Iles" is a smooth instrumental surf prog number.

250 made of this official reissue on Cameleon Records in exact colored repro sleeve.

Music Shit / Re: nerdy pressing details thread

In most cases, 7" records aren't pressed with large holes -- they're punched out when they're trimmed. That's why you get large hole records that are randomly off center when most copies are ok. Nervous Eaters "Just Head" is a good example.
I've had 3 copies (out of 4) that were pressed off center, so I'd rather say about Nervous Eaters "Just head" that records are randomly ok when most copies are off center, ha!
