Music Shit / archival LP sleeves
« on: June 27, 2008, 08:54:21 AM »
WPRB, the radio station where I have a show, has for a while had bad damaging PVC sleeves housing the LPs and we're looking to replace them. The music department wants new plastic sleeves that are (obviously) not PVC but that also are kind of stiff and durable and offer support to the LPs, not just like normal plastic LP sleeves. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go for them?

Music Shit / Game Theory
« on: May 21, 2008, 09:12:01 PM »
Kind of a long shot here, but does anyone know of any rocking soundboard-quality live Game Theory recordings? It occurred to me that this may be a way to get around the production issues I have with some of their records.

Non-Music Shit / jury duty
« on: May 21, 2008, 04:47:36 PM »
I got a jury duty summons for the day before I have to leave for tour. What's the best way to get out of it? I don't mind postponing it, I kind of want to have jury duty in general.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Car Commercials need show
« on: May 18, 2008, 06:09:59 PM »
Car Commercials is looking for a show on Thursday, May 29th somewhere between NJ and Maine. Ideal states would be Connecticut, Massachusetts, or New Hampshire. We will be playing with King Darves, who is touring in support of his fantastic new full length on the De Stijl label, "The Sun Splits For... The Blind Swimmer". If you can get a show for us somewhere on this date, lemme know.

Music Shit / Breaking Rare Records
« on: April 18, 2008, 10:20:52 PM »
In the cover photo for an LP by post-Blossom Toes British rock unit B.B. Blunder, there is a copy of the Blossom Toes 'We Are Ever So Clean' LP clearly folded up in a trash bag in the background.

Apparently one of the dudes from Zoogz Rift had a public access TV show in the 80s, and one of the guys from Debris came on and smashed copies of the Debris LP (Mikesniper have you heard of this? Brian Mulvey told me and he said he heard it from Steve Zimmerman).

What else?

Non-Music Shit / guitars on planes
« on: February 08, 2008, 11:31:54 PM »
Hey, does anyone wanna know if they generally will let you bring guitars on planes? We are flying to SXSW and just bringing a bass and guitar, apparently my guitar case is not suitable for flight storage and the guitar will get fucked up, do you think we can just count on bringing the instruments on the plane itself if we don't have much other luggage?
