awwww thanks.

yeah Mike I can get you a GE CDR, my computer is broken now but I'll burn you one when I get my new comp.  The band is now called the Great Excape, we were called the Grape Excape before it was the Rape Excape.  Before that it was 'Gay Train' for a little while in like 11th grade.  "The Grape Excape" is officially the stupidest possible name for a band.

Mike respond to my thread about the Poets.

Right now: Blisters "Fast Food" single.

This ep has to be one of the coolest out of '87 - great poppy punk.

yeah I think "Fast Food" is one of my favorite songs, it's outstanding

Pulp - His N' Hers
Stains 12" on SST (why don't more people talk about this??)

I talked to someone two days ago who was at a press screening of the movie, and he says the film has no mention at all of the Misfits, DKs, or Negative Approach.

got any extra Red Spots?

[
I was talking to the guy who made it once and he said he got most of the records cause he worked in the Subterranean records warehouse in the mid 90s.  Must have been awesome.

Denkinger and I have pulled many a raid of the Sub warehouse. It is all fished out now but we had a mighty fine time pulling out multiples of Nervious Gender/Beelzebub Youth LPs and by multiples dozens each. All gone now and money spent on cigars and blow jobs so dont ask.  Filled out my Bag of Hammers collection there way after the label was dead. Picked up countless obscure weirdo oop stuff from the 70s - 90s. And all at wholesale. Plus during the 90s he was getting some primo noise/art punk like this hear Splotch LP and some very good boots.  The place was fished out about 5 years ago and I know denkinger's last raid was more frustrating than fruitful. I havent been in there in a few years and I will stay with a fishing hole until their aint nothing but crawdads and moss.

There was a time period in the late 90s when the record distro warehouses were a fucking pig feed. I used to find gems at Revolver & Sub. I hit Get Hip a month after a remodel and a lot of the between the cracks stuff had been cleared out or snagged, but i did find some very cool stuff of the Billy Childish/vinyl japan ilk.  but you want stories, ask denkinger about working at the rough trade SF warehouse. when i get high on my horse, he slyly mentions some box of metal urbain he swept up.

I am sure there are a few storage lockers of record store/distro stock here and there that are full of gems. But how to find them? and where to get the money to buy the stuff. nowadays you gotta take it all to get the few.

Man,  I love the 'I Hate The Pop Group' comp so much. I stumbled on it right when it came out and listened to it obsessively for months. I felt very cool for already owning one of the things comped on there before I got it. Does anyone know approx. how many were pressed?

I wish their were more of these KBD-style cassette underground comps. 'Messthetics' and 'Homework' are great series', but you know there's tons more great, or atleast totally wacked, shit out there.

Yeah, I wish there were more comps like this too, I am psyched when I think of how more stuff from this era will eventually come out, ala Baby 63. I bought this comp from my friend recently but haven't listened to it yet.  I dunno how rare it is but someone just sold a test press of it on the bay for 76 bux:

The Teenage Faces don't even fucking play 'Walking Out On Love' right.  They play the major V chord where it should be the minor ii in the bridge.

V/A "American Primitive vol 1: Raw Pre-War Gospel" 2xLP

have you heard Volume 2 and if so how does this one compare? I just got Volume 2 and it has some pretty amazing stuff.  There is one song, forget who by, that is a dude moaning over what sounds exactly like a casio drum setting but its from like the 20s.

I scanned the Quick promo stuff for anybody who wants to see.  Email homeblitz (at) gmail dot com if you want them sent to you, or if you know how to post image files on this board and wanna post them, cause I don't know how to do that shit.  Also, I realized I have 2 copies each of the press release and the Quick promo photo.  Trades....
