Yeah the AC/Landed split is good, not as good as the first AC LP but still solid.  The second AC album, Weakness, is good too (CD only).  That Magik Markers record on Hospital is great, MM are good usually but Dominick fucked with the sound on that one to make it sound super gnarly.

haha yeah I got it mixed w/ Hanson for a second but then edited my post.  Alrite you are on.  Gotta find out when that girl is working.

Now it's some annoying lady singing "To Be In Carolina" or whatever that shit is called, but from the male point of view lyrically; perhaps she is an old time lesbian.

Right now I am listening to some home recorded recordable discs that I bought off ebay. Right now it is a really annoying kid telling some retarded story and laughing abrasively and then the rest of his family, I assume, singing Christmas songs. Awesome.

Yeah Jealous Again is my favorite Flag thing, which not that many people seem to agree with. It is just perfect.

Yeah I saw him at some like book reception thing once; he was wearing full Ramones getup and looked stupid.  Has anyone heard the archive show of The Best Show On WFMU where "Marky Ramone" calls in? It's hilarious.

The new Home Blitz 7" "Live Outside" is now available for order.  Two songs recorded live on the street in front of my house, but with pretty solid sound quality.  Edition of 500.  Also, there are still tons of copies of the repress of the first Home Blitz 7" left.  Both are 4 dollars ppd in the US, which can be sent via paypal to ddimaggi(at)princeton.edu, or if you order both 7"s it's just 7 dollars, special deal.  Also is available from S-S records and perhaps other places eventually.  Contact homeblitz(at)gmail.com for wholesale and international rates.  And finally, the Home Blitz/Friends & Family split cassette is still available from Leaf Leaf Records (http://geocities.com/leafleafrecords/).  Thanks for your time, Daniel

Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / Re: THE QUICK "MONDO DECO" LP
« on: August 26, 2006, 08:31:23 AM »

I saw one on ebay bout six months back or so for around $20 and it came with a 8x10 of the band.

That was the one I got I think. It also has an awesome Kim Fowley-penned press release that talks about how the Quick are 'anti-negro' or something.

You wanna sell the extras?

Make me copies?

Something?

please!

I will try and scan 'em.

I think you pretty much need the demos CD and the LP; I actually like the production on Mondo Deco more, but prefer the performances on Untold Rock Stories, but both are beyond great.  Yeah, keep looking Steve, you should come across it eventually.

Ernie Graham - s/t CD.  Really awesome laid back and meloncholy country/rural rock backed by Brinsley Schwarz (I think) from 1971.  Funny Dylanesque nasal voice, great songs.  He covers 'Romeo And The Lonely Girl' on a bonus track.

Pop Punk / Re: Weird 90s Pop-Punk Resurgence?
« on: August 23, 2006, 06:34:49 PM »
I just woke up from a dream where I was at a big house-type place that was having an all-day pop-punk fest with a bunch of young bands. The first band had a kid in a wheelchair playing drums and the singer was playing some weird chimey percussion device that was in a suitcase and between every song the bass-player would run off stage and go grab beers from another room. There was tons of -if-they-weren't-punk-they-wouldn't-be-cute-but-since-they're-punk-they're-kida-cute punk girls there. One room was for the sheriff of the town who also functioned as the health inspector and probably many other official capacities since there were all kind of official looking badges and seals on his door. I almost got in a fight with some snotty kid. Oh, and you had to take tyour shoes off at the door, and I thought someone had stolen mine when I went to leave and I ran through the house screaming at people. The girls just smiled dreamily.

This is what I mean by Weird Pop-Punk.

that's what the show tomorrow night is gonna be like actually.
