Cities / Re: RECORD SHOPS IN MARYLAND...OR D.C? WORTH CHECKING OUT
« on: April 16, 2012, 05:25:31 AM »
What's the one near or in downtown that the old guy runs. There's 2 in one block. You gotta walk back thru a courtyard-type thing for one.

Got first Fugs still in the goddamn shrink there. Mint.

Own guru. That dude, man... i won't bother w the stories, but he's made a lot of enemies in town, myself included. Worst.

Almost bought that fugs record at academy a few years ago.. regrets, wamp wamp.

Also, I'll always like Normals cuz that's where I got my Simply Saucer LP. Not cheap but they had hi-quality goods. Lotsa bad-ass free jazz and ESP-type recs. Ash Ra Tempel (7 Up? Can't remember). Hey, you get 20% off if you spend a hundred bucks! not bad really.

Not trying to hate on normals or anything... those dudes are super nice, just think they're pricey. Good spot for blues records if you have the $. I think true vine has sorta fucked up their jazz/ weird records game, dunno. I rarely shop anywhere besides csr, el suprimo or true vine in town anymore, but thats partially out of habit and limited funds

Celebrated summer records in Baltimore... Awesome punk record store (and I work there). Normals is ok, el suprimo is good for psych records, true vine is good for weird stuff

Cities / Good tattooers in Atlanta?
« on: March 20, 2012, 01:42:53 PM »
My friends and I are going to the mess around and wanna get tattooed while we're in Atlanta. Can anyone give me recommendations for places to hit up/ avoid? Looking for someone good at traditional type stuff. Most of what i have is similar to this, stylistically; http://tattoosbytomek.com/artwork/1079959.html

Thanks!
