I haven't really liked Black Lips' studio output much since since some of that Good Bad Not Evil album, but I still check them out because I still love the 2004-2005 (Flowers Grow & Let It Bloom) era.  Arabia Mountain actually had some decent songs on it.  I listened to the first three tracks on this new one, though, and it is by far the absolute worst thing they have ever released.  I don't care to find out if the album gets better from there.

the new album is ok. there are a handful of good songs on it. arabia mountain was better. i keep hoping for something as good as let it bloom but it'll never happen again.

Yeah, they haven't done a record together in forever, right? I always liked them well enough. The first record and the singles were good.

yeah, i'm on the same boat. the second album was decent but i didn't like the third one. i thought they broke up a year or two ago.

i kind of posted this already in the bay area thread but my band pores is trying to set up a show on the 28th of this month. there's a bar in the mission that we can play at but we need some other bands to play too. rather not say the bar until i know for sure. every band i've gotten in contact with is out of town that weekend. we're looking for, pretty much, any band at this point to play with us.

Im somewhat ashamed by it but I have a 4th gen ipod and I love it. I did get it used at a very reasonable price.

i have a fourth gen ipod too. i like it. its a pain in the ass / drains the battery too quick on my phone. i'd recommend getting an older ipod. they're easy to use, decently priced at this point, and for the most part work very well.
