Music Shit / Re: ATTN LABELS: DONATE FUNNY DEMO STORIES

Let me start off by saying I don' t mind getting demo's. I have released two records for a band that I was intorduced to as the result of an unsolicited demo.
The notes are all essentially the same:
Your label is my favorite
Will you put out our record?
We just record some really great songs.
Some are remarkably insistent.
I generally sell most of my records mail order, and I press so few, that I generally know the names of everyone that buys the records, or at least I can look up the name rather quickly. 99 times out of 100 they have never purchased a record from me, which makes the opening statement insincere ?your label is my favorite?. One time I mentioned that I could not commit to another release until I sold out of a recent release I had put out, to which they responded that they would buy the entire pressing of the said record.
I generally respectfully decline their request, but offer to provide guidance on how to release a record themselves. I also ask them if they are interested in buying some records. To which I never receive a reply.
On the other hand a band could start a similar thread of inexperienced record labels asking to release their music, and some of the stupid notes they receive.
This thread reminds me of the AxCx song title ?No, We Don't Want To Do A Split 7" With Your Stupid F@*k Band?
