i always felt like i was in another country for some reason when i rode it.  i guess cuz i spent so much time on the nyc subway.  i really like going to shows at maxwell's but afterwards i would always get so annoyed cuz it would take me like 3 hrs to get home to brooklyn!

i relayed 3 hrs and 14 mins of (not even the whole conversation....it continued after me) a conversation between some deaf chick and a guy about how she "was on fire for him and needed him to use his water hose to put it out" and he kept quoting bible scriptures and telling her that he was giving up sex for god.

austin's right....you need to have a really good job.  i might have stayed there longer if i thought i could have survived without working in the stupid fashion industry....it's just too expensive....everything there is!!  i didn't even realize it so much until i moved away and realized how cheap everything is in tennessee!

nyc is really a great place though.....they have wonderful public transportation....i met tons of great people....there's always something to do....friends always want to come visit you....tons of weirdos to observe and laugh at.....the list goes on....go for it matt....you'd probalby like it....maybe you should talk to joe about it

Non-Music Shit / Re: For those that went to college...

i went to this terrible christian university that my dad worked for for 3 1/2 years and majored in communications....i fucked up alot there though and left with a pretty bad gpa.....i transferred to middle tennessee state university and went there for 4 years....i finally graduated in 2002 after passing 196 credits and brought my gpa up to a 3.2 i think.....my degree is in clothing design and costuming.  i moved to nyc 2 weeks after graduation and worked in the fashion industry for 2 years....i left last year though cuz i missed tn and hated my job.  i came here with intentions of signing up for grad school.  i've been thinking about getting my masters of ed so i could become a teacher....i got here too late to enroll though so i decided to start a band with my brother....i still haven't enrolled!  i currently work as an operator at a deaf relay center.....there's not really fashion design jobs in memphis.....

i always try to tip a dollar a drink and 20% on food when i get good service.  when we toured with the fatals they flat out refused to tip anywhere we went because apparently that's not something that's done in france?  we were always tipping double to try and cover up for them.
