Trailer Space is great.  People love it for the atmosphere, not the selection.  I am sure if you ask them what to do on Saturday they will just tell you to go to the Trailer Space benefit show at Hotel Vegas.  There is just too much stuff going on Saturday night, honestly.

"Good bars/places to eat" is an impossibly vague question.  Area?  Type of thing you're looking for?

By the way, who the fuck are all you people?

I'm staying in south Austin kind of close to the Austin museum of
Popular culture. Will eat pretty much anything. I'll check out trailer space

i prefer more sophisticated digs and you probably can't afford that.

I have no idea what this means but thanks for all that other stuff. If anyone wants to party down at the "La Quinta Inn" ( who says I can't afford fancy digs )
give me a holler or throw pebbles at my window at night.

Anything going on Thursday or Saturday night? To call this trip poorly planned would be a huge understatement.
If there's fun to be had on either one of these nights let me know!

I heard this on Spotify - great work man - good stuff.

Thanks!

Todd at Hozac had this box shipped to my house today so that I'd have them for the release show, the pressing plant is taking forever on these for some reason but he should have them ready to ship really soon.

got the records today!
Also, this will be the last show ever at Zebulon, they're tearing the place down to make room for condominiums so you really should come out if you can!

Surface noise would be a true boner buster.

yeah, bazooka especially. there are faint marks in the vinyl that affect play. some nasty noise. mustve pressed them somewhere cheap. sucks cuz it doesnt happen all the and it sounds so good otherwise.  there was some scratch for the first part of the first song of Pre-Tense kinda quiet but it makes a clicking sound, the rest sounds fine iirc.

maybe i just have bad luck.

Sucks dude! Maybe you should contact them and see if they would send you new LPs? I know some labels will do that if a pressing is fucked up.

Sing Sing for example never bother to replace the first pressing of the Protex LP which had a skipping song on.

You're wrong about the Protex LP. We replaced dozens and dozens of those, but thanks anyways for posting this on a public message board

Oh my god i just realize what i have written!!!

Complete misunderstood in the way i wrote my sentence  DUE TO THE FACT ENGLISH ain't my first language, so sorry.

thought i could say 'never bother' in the sense of "they didn't care to replace" you know like they didn't make a big deal out of it, etc.

So what  i wanted to say is that SING SING never hesitated to replace instantly my Potex LP, No hassle at all, etc... Total appologies. I wasn't complaining at all. I know you guys did replace for everybody and mine in the first place.

I changed the way i phrased my sentence. It was meant to give you credit not complaining.

haha OK sorry, I still have nightmares about resending all those fucking records. It's a touchy subject!

Monumentally stupid even for an eighth grader.  I admire your chutzpah, though.  Hey, aren't you the handsome man who put out that Rip Off Records comp?  Lemme have it, I want it!

That record is out of print
but these guys still have it
http://www.midheaven.com/item/rip-off-compilation-by-va-lp

so I imagine it's not impossible to find.

maybe you should watch the movies before you show them in your class.

I had a bad experience similar to this in 8th grade where I insisted my entire class watch Blazing Saddles
The black kids in class did not think it was super hilarious and I got suspended.

did you also get your ass kicked?  if not, your classmates showed some monumental restraint...

I had totally forgotten about this until today, which is kind of weird but the way I remember it happening was like this. One of my first jobs was doing yard work for my social studies teacher Tim Gallaher. He was always talking to me about stuff and I remember telling him about Clockwork Orange and Blazing Saddles. He was telling me he wanted to play a movie for our class or something and I kept telling him " you've got to show Blazing Saddles, it's hilarious" and stuff like that, so a few days later we were going to watch a movie and he fucking popped the VHS tape in and within 20 minutes all the black kids in the class went nuts. I do remember now that he had to turn it off like halfway through. There was a meeting after school the next day or the day after with my mom, him, me and some other people and he got in some sort of trouble and they gave me ISS for a few days. I barely remember this whole thing but I do remember being fucking terrified during the movie and getting REALLY uncomfortable/hot/red faced and also being glad that the teacher was taking all of the heat for it at the time and not me.

hahaha.  That is hilarious

I think I blocked it out of my memory until I read this guys post. I got in deep shit over it, the teacher let the entire movie play, my class was like 70% black and they were all yelling and raising hell over it.
