reason why I asked this question is because I feel like there is a lot of people out there who play music or are in bands and look at it as kind of a fashion accessory and use it as a social tool to stoke their own ego. trying to keep up with the trends rather than making art.

I am still new to the whole making music thing but, I feel I truly do it for myself.
I should probably go to school or something but, music is something I have to do.

first one in a while. its actually kind of nice. listening to some tunes, searching the web for dumb shit. played on the four track for a bit, doing my vitamins now and lurking hard. would like to give a major shout out for Rob Vertigo for reviewing our shit and not calling my band a bunch of fags. In a way I would have liked to see what Richie would have said, cause I could only imagine.

I have lived in seattle for two years and I am almost over it. I feel like there isnt jack shit going on here as far as a scene is concerned. not saying we dont have great bands but its not like they all played at some crummy house together. i would like to meet more people that play music and have the same outlook on a lot of things but its seems like its highschool all over again. anyone have thoughts on this city? am I wrong to think this place sucks when it comes to a music scene?

I used to live in a shitty town north of reno growing up. I have not lived there in a few years but, the skateboarding is real good there because of all that industrial sprawl. not much of a cool music scene but if you like shitty hardcore and are bangin three x's you should be allright. there used to be a cool record store called sound and fury that had vegan goods in there and a lot of diy stuff would float through there(along with a lot of shit as well). not sure if its still around. the burges skatepark in sparks is my favorite skatepark in town. out of bounds skateboard shop is where you can get your threads and they normally host contests and demos. lots of cheap food and jimboys will be calling your name late at night. stay out of sun valley and dont party in cold springs.
