Music Shit / Re: noise/harsh etc etc
« on: January 28, 2009, 08:33:41 PM »

Reading this thread makes me wanna go watch my Cock ESP DVD tonight.

They have a DVD?

Matt Bacon (Wisconsin resident and member of Cock ESP) has a combo called Sauce Party who sound pretty good.  I haven't seen them live yet, though.

i think they were pretty big on the noise scene for awhile....especially in japan.......all i know is, the exclusive co in oshkosh had a ton of great shit that i couldnt find in gb......perrey and kingsley, stockhausen, song poems, negativland, etc..........to be fair, i bought my first residents, shaggs, and kids of widney high albums in gb...
i remember seeing cock esp several times, each performance different......i also remember a cd entitled "menasha red light district" with a 50s stock photo of a woman eating a hot dog on the cover......

not even just in the punk scene......lots of those option kids were schizo.....some have gone the classic wingnut route of finding jesus....i.e.  tim entringer...... as well as alot of kids i went to high school with at east......in fact, the only kid i remember being into punk rock was in my freshman year and i think he went to an institution after eating acid with you.....

as far as jeremy, i have not been in contact with him for a few years.....he stayed on my couch for quite awhile until my girl complained even though dude was church mouse quiet and only required an occasional bowl of noodles......after he went home, i got the impression that he direly wanted to be left alone and i respect a man's solitude......

i agree that hockey doesn't translate well televised.....football is unquestionably the greatest sport tailor-made for tv.......most of my friends that follow hockey or go to semi pro games with me also played the sport.....it most certainly can be boring to most people and even hardcore fans at times............it seems nowadays, soccer has a larger following in the us than hockey, which is pitiful.......even at its worst, hockey is exponentially more entertaining than soccer.......i once had a girlfriend who claimed that soccer was superior to football even though she watched neither.....fucking dingbat

I wish I liked hockey. There's no pro team in Wisconsin, which is absurd. So I followed Packers, Bucks & Brewers and ignored hockey until college (our team won something like 4 championships in 5 years, division whatever). I thought it was fun to be there watching it, like most sports. But there was never a pro team to follow, it's never on TV here, and it's honestly not that exciting a TV sport, anyway. But in theory, I like hockey. In theeeeory, Communism works.

the badger hockey games used to be on frequently on public tv in green bay while i was in middle school and high school........apparently, some gamblers games are broadcast according to my brother......i would love to see an admirals game or even a bucks game once in awhile without going to a bar
as far as wisconsin not having an nhl franchise, i don't understand it either.....hockey is HUGE on the high school level throughout the state......all the men in my family with a few exceptions have played hockey....my uncle recently bought skates for his first grandson who is less than a year old
