alot of people i know from mid thirties to early twenties have weird al as their first concert........i believe mostly due to his appeal to children and him playing county fairs, small towns, etc..........i would have loved to see him as a kid....my brother and i rented uhf religiously..

first concert: violent femmes at st norberts college, green bay...........first punk show.....either man or astroman at the concert cafe.....less than a year from each other.......i dont think my mother or father have been to a concert possibly aside from a bar band or wedding

i found a mr beer kit at a rummage sale this summer and it turned out pretty awful.............i had enough desperate friends to finish the swill though..........i knew a dude who had a pretty elaborate set up and whipped up some tasty shit........ i think the initial investment is worth it if you are serious about doing it..

fuck irony.....alot of people like ac/dc, skynard, thin lizzy, etc.....in an "ironic" way.....but some of that hit is great music......and i like southern rock when its good like any other genre.......just like their are good "hair metal bands" that are basically rock an roll bands.....g and r, rose tattoo, hanoi rocks, and even quiet riot......fuck, some people take prince ironically....he was a fucking genius......just cause he did some cheesy shit.
