The 3rd record (Aoxomoxoa) introduces a few songs that would remain in the Dead canon, kind of a bridge record.

Fun fact - Courtney Love is on the back of this record.

The records generally suck.

Any live show from 1972 or 1973.

I'm partial to the shows from the late 70's which are also killer so long as you can get through Donna's unbearable voice.

The Dune/Jodo doc's playing at Film Forum.  There is literally no footage of Moebius himself -- just liberal doses of his sketches and illustrations, which are cool, but I expected some posthumous words from him.

Also, not much discussion about the film's budget, which seems ridiculous.

Thanks - still seems like it's worth seeing.

Saw the Dune/Jodorowsky doc.  Lots of puzzling omissions in the content, some of 'em likely due to licensing, but the subject matter was interesting enough to me that it didn't really matter.  I'm not convinced that his version of the film would've been anything other than a spectacle.

Where can I see this?

Speaking of Dune - I'll admit I like Lynch's Dune but that may be reflecting my bias.

I still don't get Broad City - I feel out of touch.

Just want to reiterate how great this show has been so far this season. I have no shame in the immature hilarity.

Amazing. Very stoked.

I actually like the Best Buy Theater too.

Boot s/t lp. Bluesrock done right always surpises. From 1972.  Last song totally channels Schnazz! FRITZ FOREVER!

Great record. Follow-up on Guinness is good too.

Also the new Blank Realm is great.

I'll have to side with Vinnie on this one. That shit is insufferable.

Kevin Vicalvi - Songs From Down The Hall

Nick Garrie - The Nightmare of J.B. Stanislas [how I slept on this for so long is a mystery]

Emmett Finley - S/T [killer and relatively under-appreciated although the hype is building]

Lanzon & Husband - Nostalgia [I FINALLY got a copy of this record which has been on my want list for a while. GREAT pop/rural folk moves]

A guy on the subway this morning had B.O. that was so intense I almost barfed. The downside of living off the F is that it's used nightly as a hobo dorm room as the trip to Coney Island and back is a long one. Enjoy that pointless anecdote.

Who's the guy interviewed in the crowd/cutting a fucking rug during their concert, with the long frizzy black/grey hair? I've met him before but I can't remember the name. He confronted me in an elevator once to discuss Johan Kugelberg's pretzels. That's not a euphemism (although it should be).

Setting aside the fact that Cyril is awesome (and Avi) - this looks like SHIT. That's saying a lot as this is one of my favorite bands and I prefer the Chris Wilson era records. They deserve better.

Setting aside quality etc. - what a fucking awkward item to have in your pocket, these devices are flat for a reason.
