Music Shit / Re: Current bands that would be on AmRep if resurrected today

Crystal Antlers

Saw a lot of those AmRep bands. Was fortunate enough to jump in Surgery's "van" for the California/Pacific Northwest leg of a tour. Definitely miss those guys as well as Cows. Saw a jaw-dropping God Bullies/Steel Pole Bathtub show that inspired a three hour drive to catch them the next night.

Anyone know this person? I haven't received my record and he/she refuses to answer my email and provide tracking information.

Saw Steel Pole a lot---always a stellar live show. Caught Slug, Jackknife and Bakamono a couple of times. Bakamono were great guys but not the best live show. Liked when Eiso played with Black Flag against the strings. Don't think I ever saw Oiler and I was never a fan of Distorted Pony, Sandy Duncan's Eye, etc.

Non-Music Shit / eBay is a stupid cunt

eBay just demoted me because they said I was bad. I don't understand since I have a 99.3% approval rating and nothing close to a one and two. Please, one of you tech savvy geniuses please create some competition.

Didn't spend a dime at the fair. Not that I didn't want to---found some reggae I was interested in but I'm always suspect when the records aren't priced and then when you ask they take a "hard look" and respond $35. No thanks.

there was another band some of those guys were in too (or was that mbrs of Man Or AstroMan?) - ORC? (or something like that - I remember that being pretty good live)

Supernova and Man or Astroman?, I believe. Really dug Supernova back in the day with all that tin foil and stuff.

Not that Academy has anything to do with it, but those Jesus Lizard $20 price tags are kinda...ouch.

They're remastered 120gram vinyl with extensive liner notes, art, photos, MP3 downloads with bonus tracks. Still pricey though.

They sound amazing but you can easily find them for a few bucks less.

Just a couple of days left to grab these gems!

Music Shit / Re: Gigs your parents saw

My stepfather played bass in Drusallee and the Dead. Opened for The Beach Boys and Sonny and Cher as well as others. I know he saw The Stones in '64, Them in '66 and The Animals. He just listens to Rush Limbaugh now. Pathetic.
