I used deadformat.net for my last record.  He was kind of slow, but really really cheap and we got some cool looking cards.

record store I work at has wall-to-wall chalk boards that get some rad drawings and messages.  Lot's of penises, pentagrams, notes to me or my boss, and anarchy symbols.

I think the only thing that exists is the live set.
I'm a bigger fan of his "punk writing" than the stuff like "The Spirit of St. Louis", but that's probably because I just read it while I'm sitting at work, and I can't get involved enough to read it.  I bought the Omnibus for while I was traveling and it was a really good way to read that stuff.

Music Shit / Re: Getting United records shipped overseas
« on: September 06, 2009, 01:00:48 PM »
this is turning into a pressing plant bitching thread, so I'll chime in.
Had good experiences with United, and then last year pressing the Grids 7" was a fucking nightmare.  We sent off just about everything by late Jan/early feb, I think I left off the matrix or something on the sheet, and then we finally got records in june.  during that time, I spent one day a week on the phone sorting things out.  The number of times they "lost" my information was baffling.  In the time we were waiting to get the Grids 7", my roommate had a 7" pressed there and got tests and copies before I got a test, and an old bandmate of mine got his tests (then records a week or two after we got ours).

Honestly though, erika rules and all, but for small runs of 7"s it's hard to beat United's prices.

also, Fuck Pirate Press/GZ

I found a newish issue of give me back and there was a review of a record I'm on that came out a year and a half ago.  Band broke up 6 months ago, new bands both have records out that I'm sure won't be reviewed for another year.
The time frame isn't as extreme for someone like MRR, but it still exists.  How many reviews do you read of stuff that's already oop?

lame question:
what does he have on tour with him (merch) and is his solo stuff just him and harp player or full band kind of stuff?
