what difference does it make how someone records their shit? i love recording in my bedroom, cause i can do it in my underwear, and watch myself rock like a golden god in the mirror.

i kinda like the idea that anyone can make a record right on their laptop. obviously shit that sucks will still suck, and shit that rules will still rule. the songs will cut through!

unless you mean the weird noise-pop and whatnot that i guess is very popular. whatever.

yeah when they played at cheryl's house it was depressing and embarrassing. i thought they started sucking when the dude quit using the voxAC30 and fender twin reverb amp combo. such a searing guitar tone! then they went to sounding wimpy and impotent.

now i can't tell if they were really good back in the day, cause i thought i liked a lot of stuff back then that i now consider to be complete crap.

first time i heard black flag was like right before my band was gonna cover one of their songs. i thought i'd better hear it first. it was kinda funny cause probably like 3 or 4 people had approached me and basically told me they could tell that i really liked black flag a lot, from the way i played guitar i guess? i just would be like "yeah, i like black flag," but really i never had heard 'em and i was embarrassed cause i wasn't as cool as all those people. this was when i was like 19 i guess. i'm so punk.
