i heard "55-40 or Fight" a few years ago when they were gonna play at the concert cafe, but that didn't interest me much. i think it was a poor quality mp3, and also not my favorite song of their's. when i originally bought tickets for the blackout this year, friday was the only day i had (okay, when i originally bought ticket), and i was BUMMED. i said over and over again that i have no interest in dead moon and i had a ticket to the worst day. but as soon as they started i had this intense warm and tingly feeling in my body and i didn't wanna leave that bar or let them stop! i seriously felt like i could've watched them another 2 hours and STILL want an encore. i guess, what ain't been said about dead moon? i'm not a writer so there's no point trying to say anything different, but shit. that's the REALest band i've ever known to exist. i still get shivvvvvers anytime i hear one of their songs, or anytime i'm just remembering that set. keith, i hope you get a chance to see 'em!
