Non-Music Shit / Re: Vinyl cancelled

Kid, this whole business is fugazi. Show up on time and party when necessary.

This business is show business.

I watched first two eps and never bothered with the rest of this turd of a show. It was awful and even embarrassing. I didn't work in it though, so maybe I'm not biased.

without context its pretty tough to know exactly whats up.  i think the dude is a weirdo and was guilty as hell, but if he had a treasure trove of CP i think they would have put his ass in prison, rich and famous or not...

yup.  uber-rich people often have bizarre, taboo shit.  but the article quoted is a bit misleading, or jumps to some conclusions that can't really be jumped to. still disturbing, just the detail and etc. i still WANT to believe in him, but yeah...

Ha! I knew it! Oh well, now he and Neil Armstrong can rot in hell together on the moon, backwards.

I always forget that most places are still working under the "prevention" model. Yeah, been working great so far! Of course it does work when prisons are big business. They don't care about addicts dying, they just want bigger numbers of convictions and inmates and dollars. The whole thing is sick. How can you punish a dealer more severely because his/her customer od's? What if someone buys three points in one transaction  and does one huge smash? Nothing the dealer can do about that! How could the dealert even be aware?

Cities / Re: The Great British Curry Crisis

I love me a pasty or meat pie, never had jellied eels. I live in Canada, which is pretty British so hard to say, but...I'd say English food is one of the least popular, well-known ethnic cuisines. Over here it is mostly known for its boring blandness, even if that's not deserved. One of my fave spots on vancouver island is called Crow and Gate, and they serve Olde time classic brit food. They also have to hearths which adds to the appeal.

I read recently that bob Ross was some kinda drill sergeant or other officer in the military and had to yell at people a lot. He vowed that when he left the military he would never scream again. Loved his show so much as a kid, makes me nostalgic any time I think of him.

hank williams, star of Curious George.

i really like your stuff Officer Brad.  very impressed/inspired (even envious) with your success at sobriety and creating and becoming happier.  i feel i've been running the exact opposite way for quite some time.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Punk Is Dead (again)

As Marcuse mentioned, capitalist society has a way of subsuming subcultures on the periphery and outsiders over time. I'm with Aggravation Overdose. Punk rock is still very vital.

All I have to.do is listen to pearl jam's "vitalogy" and I know you're right. And all I wanna do is have a little bit of fun before I die.

The woggles are a 4-man delivery system for 200 proof, nitro-fueled rock 'n roll.

That's what Google told me, anyway.

Non-Music Shit / Happy Victoria Day!
« on: May 23, 2016, 09:06:06 AM »
Got a rude awakening this morning, then realized it was Monday and I had to work. THEN I realized it's Victoria day and I'm getting paid double-time and a half. God bless the Queen!
