Non-Music Shit / Re: OFFICIAL TERMBO EPL THREAD

So any of you Eurofiends tuning in to the Euros over the weekend. An actual international break with something to fight for - woohoo! Important weekend for the Irish - we need to beat Andorra tonight and at least draw with Armenia (at home) on Tuesday. [Bearing in mind Slovakia get pretty much dumped out by Russia tonight]. Group B is well open even at this stage. Russia, Ireland, Armenia & Slovakia still in with a shout out of the six. Between this and the rugby tis gonna be a blinder of a weekend for the sports. Hopefully we get the results now ;)

How's everyone else doin' in the group qualifiers?

Spain's through & topped Group I (surprise surprise), and our fellow neighbors the Scots are counting on the Czechs to get thumped by Spain and possibly slip up in their last match against Lithuania in same group next week - very unlikely i think. Lot of work for Scotland who play Leichenstein tonight (must/should-win) and then Spain away... the Czech Rep. seem a bit of a spent force these days and they got beaten at home by Lithuania in the reverse fixture last year. Unlikely but still open. And England need one more (to top the group?) i think -- but are pretty much thru, no?

#Rest of World orders - if you order one copy it will be opened and sent in 2 packages, both insured. One package will contain the vinyl, the other the box/printed papers. If you order 3 or more copies we will send in one package by courier and we will not open the boxsets.#

Looks that way, unless you're ordering three or more. For anyone that hasn't paid for it already that is. Looks like Burning Shed may have been paying the extra themselves for shipping (i.e. for those who already pre-ordered at the previous price/rate - or so they seemed to suggest). I think you'd have to at this stage of the game.

Apparently it was UA who initially fucked up though, giving them the completely wrong weight of the boxset itself. But thats not to say the pre-order idea maybe wasn't the best idea either.

Never realized quite how horrible a player Ramsey is. Shocking.

Yeah last few games he's been Arsenal's weak link in midfield by far. He's easily distracted, won't track back with urgency, not consistent enough going forward even but he has given some good through passes. Just not good enough to dig us out of this early mire.

Another seaosn, another broken leg -- this time Sagna. And no real offence to Jenkinson since he's coming from a non-league side but all those two left feet are good for is paddling at the moment; or some kinda big-top circus clown feat, which he's pulled off quite well so far. Hopefully Santos can play well as a right-back otherwise we're more than screwed. Djourou or Jenkinson?... meh.

Just ordered this on Saturday.

Packaging issues seem to be resolved but they're having to split the the boxset for two seperate shipments outside of UK. Looks a bit messy. Apparently the big issues were with the long-haul delivery. They got hit with a load of extra charges due to the excessive weight. Japan got hit the worst and nailed with additional courier charges where the original charge according to Burning Shed "was about STG30 but now they have to go by courier and it costs STG75(!) now". Fuckin' nasty that.

Gallas out for the game.  This could be another high-scoring cracker.  Lord knows the Arsenal defense won't keep out many (although SZCZ will most likely make a few great saves).

Gomis definitely deserves a second-chance - just for this weekend at least. Maybe Friedel's arthritis might kick in. You never can tell with that shit. Who's in d-fens for the Spurs does anyone know? With Gallas out, Dawson out,... is king Out too? What that leaves Bassong and Kaboul or somethin?

Shamrock Rovers had ol Harry sweatin' & twitchin' a bit there start of the second half Europa clash last night eh ;) ha. They were riding their luck for some time before that though. Would of been tricking explaining that one if they'd held out.

Out of Stock? Already...? But... they've only just started shipping. Psssh. Shnoozed...

fuck.

False Alarm! Just got word back from Burning Shed folks:

"The sets are briefly off sale while we work out new postage details as they are far heavier than we were told by the label.

They'll be back on sale either later today or by the weekend."

P&P is probably gonna be a bit more expensive now though.

NLD this weekend should be good.

Crappybyewhore's moment of truth. Will he score his hat-trick against Arsenal's seriously questionable defense or will he bottle it. Hmmm... I think his confidence at the moment might actually win out over his over-inflated ego at this point in time; I reckon the offsides will be kept in the single digits at least.

On a brighter note and nothing related to the Spuds, that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like a great talent. Great run/finish last night. He's lookin' better than Walcott is now.

apparently not to many TERMBO United fans.  Rooney killing it on fantasy points.

Great - finally someplace thats not filled with folk who've jumped on the bandwagon at somepoint in the last 15 years. GREAT STUFF re the Fantasy Wazza though! Has been my captain the last few weeks (missed that first hat trick though). Was hoping he'd make it 3 for 3 with the hat-tricks there last week. Lad's been in unreal form. Think they can do it again this weekend? Stoke went all the way with Spurs. Might be feelin' a bit leggy after that one. Most other weeks I'd have bet on them at least holding United to dropping 2 points, then again they've been in some form in the league. As much as it pains me to admit it, they've been a joy to watch.

Wish I'd sold one of the other deadweights for Aguero sooner too. He's been on a tear aswell.

Gee, maybe if I was buying it for the art...but that's some pathetic/pretentious non-skilled shit right there.

WASTE OF TIME.

Agreed. This is some kind of less is more, the devil is in the lack of detail, modern design bollocks presumably. 130+ yoyo's is fucking criminal to say the least...

Non-Music Shit / Re: Getting rid of wasps
« on: September 16, 2011, 04:25:59 AM »
You'll have to locate the nest to completely get rid of them. The nest shouldn't be too hard to locate. The wasps themselves should be flying in and out during the daytime getting food and materials too, for the nest/hive presumably. I'd check somewhere were they're liable to get a lot of heat. Sounds from what your describing they could be in the roof of the porch or between that and the front wall of the house somewhere.

I've had them twice in my kitchen extension. They burrowed in by chewing through the wooden frame of the roof and nested right above the kitchen. We had to buy a wasp killer spray (should be only a few quid) into the exit holes they eat thru (the nest will be there and spray it into the entrance every night for a few nights and it eventually got rid of them. But be warned you have to do this at night and they'll get disturbed so be ready to run for cover. And don't breathe any of the spray gunk in neither. But it basically gases them out. A friend of mind had same issue a couple of weeks back in the roof of his house (they'd burrowed into the attic above his bedroom) - he ended up getting a pro out for it though. Dude couldn't even get his arms around the nest to lift it out it was so big. Reckoned there was around about 3,000-4,000 wasps altogether. I just wouldn't let it get too out of hand. He just gassed them the same way but obviously with higher grade stuff, killed the queen and then removed the nest itself in chunks.

Agreed. Their best yet I think. Though I think that last Moon Duo is even better.

Pun absolutely not intended, but Rip's moonlighting as part of that other group with Sanae Yamada has definitely paid off for Wooden Shjips now. This album's got way more drive & swagger than possibly all their last releases put together and I think they owe a lot of that to the Moon Duo's extensive touring and honing of their live act/studio material. Seen them live a couple of months back and they really tore a new asshole in the place when all was said and done. Certainly the Shjips are coming along for me now too. Would definitely like to hear Rip doing something a bit less drone-based though at the same time. Excellent guitarslinger. When he wants to, dude can really let it, uh... ah, fucking hell - ya know what i'm getting at... >: /

Mind Game (2004) - dir./writ. by Masaaki Yuasa. Released by the folks at Studio 4?C . Definitely for fans of Satoshi Kon/Studio Madhouse. A comic book artist gets a second chance at life by some mischievous divine entity after being executed (by being shot up the ass at point blank range - no shit!) and so begins one of the most wildly original anime films I've seen in a while. The story's too complex to explain in short. But typical Studio Ghibli-type affair this ain't; has a very rough and ready design to most of it - a small bit of CGI here and there (nothing annoying) and the story's got some pretty dark humor but is well-written. The animation used, covers many styles (most work great). Highly recommended.

Buddy Buddy (1981) dir. Billy Wilder. This was Wilder's last film it seems (A remake of a French film). Not exactly the out & out classic he might have preferred to go out on but very similar to your typical Walter/Matthau buddy flicks albeit with some slightly darker twists. Matthau plays a hitman called Trabucco who's been paid to take out 3 different witnesses who are gonna testify against the Mob. Lemmon plays a suicidal television censor going through a sticky divorce, who manages to get in the way of his final hit. Also stars Termbo fave, Klaus Kinski, as a sex therapist (Dr. Hugo Zuckerbrot) who has an affair with Lemmon's wife. Entertaining enough if you enjoyed their other films, Odd Couple, The Fortune Cookie, etc.
