Some bacteria (or something) in nicotine may prevent symptoms of ulcerative colitis. I asked some doctors about that and they told me, off the record, that nicotine can help.

Prednisone is helpful, too, but I wouldn't recommend it to people with uc.
That's why doctors said it off the record, nicotine helps with UC (according to studies), but then again does damage to heart, lungs, etc. When you shittin blood and go to WC ten times a day you may change your opinion on prednisone. It has side efects but between shitting blood and getting bald I'll choose baldness. But, let stick to lawsuit subject.
To get off topic for a minute....
You're assuming that I never had UC. In fact, how would I know about the whole prednisone thing if I didn't at least have a relative with it, because people aren't really educated about this illness unless they have it or know someone who has it.
Yes I have a lot of greatly embarassing stories to tell about my battles with UC, including almost getting cancer, but I found that cigarette smoke irritated it and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with the disease.
I don't have UC anymore because they removed my colon. I'm colon-free! Woohoo!
