Non-Music Shit / Re: It is what it is...
« on: February 01, 2012, 07:08:43 AM »
The most I've ever heard this phrase was over the year I lived with former poster STEVE, said by our insane drunken lesbian retired army neighbor. It pretty much replaced "okay" in her speech and was said at least 5 times each time I spoke with her, even in passing. This was the worst part about her, and she was awful. Sometimes I'd repeat it back to her a few times with different emphasis or inflection, and she would always agree.
I have notice this phrase being said more. I assumed it had made its way into TV or film writing and is being repeated.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Kindle Fire
« on: January 29, 2012, 08:57:05 AM »
I have the more basic Kindle Keyboard and only recently started using it. So far I'm impressed and happy with it, but I use it exclusively for reading books. I like its simplicity and the ink display over a color touchscreen. The internet works but looks kinda weak, but I wouldn't use it anyway. I have a laptop for the internet and don't want to watch video on my Kindle and don't have a phone with this sort of stuff available. The Fire would be more than I want.

Music Shit / Re: Jack White, ICP, Mozart????
« on: September 02, 2011, 06:20:56 PM »
This pairing makes total marketing sense to me. My friend pointed out to me the sheer number of ICP fans and their rabid loyalty. Any artist ICP gives their approval of gets a big bump in sales simply because jugaloos are cool with anyone who accepts them, plus there are Detroit loyalists. Now millions of them may start checking out Jack White's huge output and record label. Huge exposure for him.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Kidney stones?
« on: August 21, 2011, 03:19:25 AM »
I've kidney stones so large they required surgery. For me the pain was just above the hip in the back but poking the area didn't really affect the level of pain. There was a base level of constant dull intense pain not unlike the feeling you get at moments of extreme diarrhea and sporadic splitting pain so intense I'd scream at the top of my lungs.
I don't know what a kidney infection feels like but if it's either of those usually a piss test can figure it out.

Yesterday I listened to the Liquorball's Live from Hitler's Bunker on 45 by accident. I figured it out when the vocals came in but let it ride. It sounded good.

What streaming sites are you guys using? myp2p seems to never show Pirates games and the other links at the beginning of the thread seem bunk unless I'm missing something.

Non-Music Shit / Re: astrology
« on: July 04, 2011, 09:27:33 PM »
Two weeks into dating my gf of 2-and-a-half years now, we went through her roommates giant tome titled something general. It had astrological guides based on dates and were cross-referenced by the other person's dates.
At the time it was unsettling due to accuracies about my own defects and hers' as well. And it highlighting, accurately, issues we'd have in the future. Then it was weird and comforting. Now it's ominous.
Don't know the name of the book but I can find it if anyone cares.
It was scary accurate.

funniest thing is Mike Simonetti's comment: "Iceage fucking blows. fuck those trendhopping nujacks."

Hey giant fat pot, here's the black kettle.
the font on that site was small enough that I bumped my dick off my forehead squinting like a Chinaman.

My email inbox is currently busting at the seams with hot, hot praise for this gem.
Norm Nardini plays all over Pittsburgh still. His jokes rival his licks.
