If anyone has any of these they want to trade/sell let me know! (*I live in Australia)
DIARY OF A PUNK
FROM THE VELVETS..
OUR BAND COULD BE YOUR LIFE

And the 13th floor elevators one, not sure what it's called, I've searched getting all these shipped to me but it's too expensive, and the ones I've seen in stores here are always $35+ so a trade would be ideal.

Also Nic Cage rules! 'Leaving las vegas' is one of the most important American films of the past 20 years, and one of the only films that matches up to a novel it's based apon, and there's no way someone could dislike him if they've seen the extra footage of his interview in the 'Rumble fish' special features, where is claims the inspiration for his role came when he was bitten by a water snake after swimming in a water hole, and he ''looked at the snake, and the snake looked at me, and I thought they we were okay, and then, outta no where, he attacked me!'' and he wanted to 'be the water snake'!

Watched the Australian supernatural thriller 'Patrick' last night and really liked it.  I was expecting a much lesser quality film.  It's from '78 and part of the Australian exploitation genre.  The director is clearly big into Hitchcock and creates some good suspenseful moments.  The lead actor is a guy in a coma who's stalking a nurse using his sixth sense.

I got turned onto it by the documentary on Australian exploitation that's out now, 'Not Quite Hollywood'.  It's worth a watch, but there's the ubiquitous Tarantino talking head scenes.
This is a reallly great doco, too bad the subject is so awful, have you seen many of the oz exp films? I've picked up a few cheap, they all suck.

Ingmar Bergman
Bergman rules, what have you been watching? I rewatched 'through a glass darkly' last week, almost gets better every time I watch.

Yall just made me lose my brane.

Top 10  Twin Peaks moments/things:

1. (Fire Walk With Me movie) Bobby doing about a zillion twirling motions as he enters high school.  It just wouldnt stop.  And to me thats the kind of shit where Lynch is MOST genius.  Absurd accents like that.  Seriously.
2. James playing guitar with surreal "lynch" overdub synch-up.  TERRIBLE!  So good.
3. Sherelyn Fenn in one-eyed jacks outfit!
4. LEO!!!!!!!  Just Leo.  But especially when he's STANDING IN THE RAIN HANGING OUT OF HIS TRUCK CAB SHOOTING AT THE TALKING BIRD WITNESS IN THE POLICE STATION WITH A SNIPER RIFLE.  Then speeds off!  Genius.
5. Leo's death watching the guy on that soap opera get shot at the same time.
6. Leland Palmers dances!
7. Nadine's silent drape-runners as her strange escapist fascination to make her husband proud of her and someday get them "a better life".
8. Nadines one eye-patch to symbolize the fact SHE CANT SEE WHATS GOING ON AROUND HER (especially with regard to homeboy and lovergirl)....basically that she has tunnel vision.  Fixed on one focal point.  NADINEVISION.  Ya heard.
9. THE HORNE BROTHERS.
10. Dr. Jacoby's 3-D prescription glasses.  and Dr. Jacobys coconut.
This is so strange! I'm currently compiling my own TP top 10 for a zine I have coming out, I think my favorite TP moment  is probably the scene in which Lynch's charactor Gordon Cole can't hear a single thing, only the voice of Shelly, and just as he leaves TP plants a big smooch on her in the diner.

I saw speciman; they were ok.  But they opened for Einsturzende Neubauten and I don't have to tell you who came out on top there.   Nervous Gender also played on that bill and totally creeped out the homophobic LA crowd (or so it seemed to me - I was so stoned out of my mind I felt like I was melting).
Nervous gender are fucking great, I really like their split lp with Beelzebub Youth, though I probably like the BY side more, even though apparently it was just NG 'side' band.
