what's the track list? Is Homo Electrica on this?

so aint had time to listen to this yet but tracklist from reading info inside seems..

HS ART - "Vattenplask"
BADBOLL - "Valen"
KNUGENS HAF - "Du ar inte ensam"
ANDERS ANGEST - "Just nar allt ar sa roligt"
CONTAINER - "Livet stinker"
TRASTE & SUPERSTARARNA - "Pengar"
ROCKSET - "Pitea Kommun"
REBELL - "100 ar"
TANT BRUN - "Nej nej nej nej"
THE MOPS - "Dina svarta ogon"
ABC 80's - "Pop i radion"
THE VERTEX - "fell in love"
PICTURES - "kicks & tips"
mystery track....(havent listened to it yet but the insert says it something popular)

Insert also seems quite optimistic about further volumes..

Artwork is folded round sleeve (not glued to) and a loose sheet of paper has bad photocopies of the 7" sleeves ala Teenage Treats comps.

People talk way more shit about TB now than MRR anyway, so who gives a shit. About any of it.

I have every issue of MRR.  Been buying it every month since '86 and bought the last one on Saturday, so I'm not talking shit.  I just think the weekly queer issue thing is getting a little old, if only because most people over 18 have probably realized by now that MRR and its contributors are rarely able to tell the world anything worthwhile about anything other than bands and records.  I mean seriously, Matilda and Brontes as valid comment on anything other than spoiled navel-gazing disguised as radicalism? Fahy and his absurd belief that hardcore is some cult that you somehow betray by liking a Metallica record or skipping a mediocre show? Can you imagine actually reading the news section?

Love the record reviews, music columns and punk history pieces, of course, which is why I buy it faithfully.  The idea that this is some sort of reactionary, apolitical attitude is predicated on believing that there are ideas, viewpoints and opinions of worth to be found in the ramblings of uneducated crust punks and unreconstructed middle-aged Marxists-- well, there aren't for me.

Personally, i only buy it so i can make penpals with prisoners who got 10 years for spitting out some gum on the pavement.

Is his sister on Degrassi or something? I don't recognize her.

Shes motherfuckin Josie Pussycat man!
and starred in the awful Get Carter remake
amongst other flops.

They're actually not related, but let's pretend they are-- as usual, the rumour is far more interesting then the reality.

WHAT!  say it isnt so...
Ah well i spose now he can wank over her without the sister guilt thing.

so her real brother has some nifty fingers?

Martin took the cover pic I think in 85? There's a photoshow this weekend in SF at Balazo where you can see it and others all blown up n nice.
My old band? Which one?
Man, that sux about the TN/MS black and whites confusion-I read the interview and saw the word NASHVILLE, fact checkin be damned. Duh, sorry.
The Come On piece was written by Ethan Swan, who helped put out the AstralGlamor Homosexuals CD and I think is helping them with some reissues too...

This modern reveries record on an english label?....ever happening?

what's fucking pop about any of these bands?

plus foreign language shit sucks.

hehe... ..mycket rolig

the full blurb is..

"VARIOUS ARTISTS
Total-Pop Volume 1
(Total Pop)

It's been a while since there has been a good compilation in the Killed By Death / Bloodstains realm, but that drought is definitely over with Total-Pop Volume 1. The subject of Sweden's seemingly disproportionate output of HIGH QUALITY punk rock records has been written about at length so I won't go into it here, but I will say that even after three volumes of Bloodstains Across Sweden it is obvious that the well is still overflowing with punk, power-pop and mod-pop nuggets, as the fourteen tracks here haven't shown up on any previous comps. Only the most severely damaged Termbo, KBD, Collector Scum aficionados will recognize many of these bands (HS Art, Badboll, Knugens Haf, Tant Brun, Vertex etc.) but before long you'll be adding them to your want lists. All but two tracks are sung in the mother tongue, but these songs are so catchy that you'll be doing some hooked on phonics sing-a-longs by the second listen. Nice, crude silk-screened sleeves in a variety of color combos and numbered in an ultima-hyper limited edition of 333, so don't delay as this one will soon be long gone"
