Still not sick of these songs. I even like the way the vocals are way over the top and the songs go on too long. Who put this out again? Shamefully, don't even have it on wax, only a download. Isn't this like the drummer of Fucked Up or something? Are there more tunes coming?

Anyway, yeah.

yep fucked up /mavellous darlings fella and hes her brother

Theres one near me... 1000's upon 1000's of records (easily 10,000 in there) and all unpriced...records on the floor out of sleeves that you cant help but step on.

On the one desk is about 20 boxes of lp's with clothes thrown on top and even a kettle lying on top...
Its impossible to look through most of em...
The bloke started to catalogue em in the 90's but give up.

take any record up to counter and he will look it over, pretend to know what it is and say;
"thats ?5"....
"so wharra bout this one?"
"er....thats ?5 too"

A friend who visits his house says he has about 10,000 records at home all on shelves that are collapsing and leaning on one another..and just like his shop they are all on the floor too.

Basically they are unpriced cos he cant be arsed to price em..
id love to clean the place up for him.....cos there must be some nuggetts in there.

Another local shop is always priced really fairly and take ?15 worth of stuff up to him and he will say "ahh just give us a tenner" or will give ya stuff for free if he sees you picking it up.

Crappy band.  Totally fucking suck.  I can barely hold back my venom.  I don't even know where they were from or when they were around.  I'm guessing a buncha douchebags on this "forum" are all into their shit.  They make the Boomtown Rats look like fukking Wire.  Christ. Can you fucking dipshits really get into this shit?  Just because some Irishman is singing pop songs w/ guitars?  I can also bet a fucking huge amount that anyone who's into this band was probably born after me.  You fucking little square fucks.  This shit blows and always will.  I don't even know who I'm talking to, or even if I'm talking anymore, but I do know this -- Protex fucking sucks!  I guess they're a 70's-80's band?  Terrible.  You'd think in that time period, they could find something useful to do, instead of being turds trying to find a FUCKING TOILET TO FLOAT IN!  I say FLUSH IT AND DON'T GIVE IT A SECOND LOOK!  I'd rather hear that song "I Would Walk 5 Fucking Thousand Miles" by the Proclaimers, because that's honestly a GOOD SONG.  Fucking  Protex.  Named after a condom.  I CUM IN YOU AND THROW YOU OUT. That's what should be done.  Jeez.

fucking right on...and the fuckin BEARS "on me" sounds like fucking Status fucking Quo...
what a pile of fuckingshite, i dont know why i even bother singing along to every word to it...

MAlto.

does that first lp (your press) go for much since Prank reissued it?

only just put the twoside by side and realised how much brighter the colouring is on the prank version....either that or my Ugly Pop version has been sat in a sunny window for a few months.

I doubt it goes for serious money, although I did get occasional emails from people offering $30-40 for it before the Prank reissue.  From what I gather, the Prank press changes the track order (ours was same as the CD), adds an insert (which the band was adamant about not wanting in the first press) and has a new/improved mastering job, but I'm not sure about the colouring.  Definitely need to grab myself a Prank press...

Malto heres some pics....the artwork now has a blue tint....the insert has the lyrics in english on one side and japanese on the other.....

song titles changed too....obvisouly used a different pigeon english internet translator.

Fuel - Monuments To Excess

Best thing on the label.

I still own a couple things on Ebullition....no shame at all. The only things I still listen to are the Econochrist records. I loved the Struggle 7" when it came out. I also liked Iconoclast (tho' it annoyed me to no end that they used the name after the 80's peace punk band...just a pet peeve of mine) to a point.

Entirely new thread needed.....Also a pet hate of mine...dont new bands fucking do some research before naming themselves?

Also pre internet days....going to see advertised bands that you thought were other bands, but just ended up having the same fucking name.... and not realising until that band are 4 songs in and just happen to say "hey were called ____________"

Yeah i know the flexi and live cd are more wanted by collectors...just wondered bout the lp cos i hadnt seen it in distros for ages before the reissue

About the colouring....there is a noticeable difference to the reissue....the sleeve is a lot lot lot brighter....
theres one of your issues knocking around in a used record shop over here in england (8pound at the minute)...which suprised me....(seeing it, not the price)
