i thought this might appeal to some people on here so here it is. i do a hardcore punk fanzine called I WAS A TEENAGE ZOMBIE. this is my second issue, i have about 15 copies left before i go to print up some more. so far, all who have read it have given me positive feedback, so i guess it's worth advertising for, so basically what i'm trying to say it's not a pile of shit. i put a lot of time and effort into this and it looks good and the writing is pretty decent, i think it could have been better but i was in a rush to get it done before i went on tour this summer so it is what it is, next issue will be better as is always the goal. this is the cover

and here is what those goons at Maximum Rock'N'Roll said about it:

if you would like to get a copy either send me a message on here or to the email address listed in the review. 3 dollars ppd in the US, if you're overseas get in touch and we can work something out. TRADES ENCOURAGED.
while i'm at it, i thought i'd mention that i am in an instrumental surf punk band called FINS. not a lot of people's thing but again there might be some on here to which this appeals. we are not a "rockabilly" or "horrorbilly" surf band or anything cheesy like that, no gimmicks, think more traditional old school surf like ventures or marketts with a tinge of man or astroman/shadowy men mixed in with late 70's and early 80's punk. we have a "pre" demo tape out and it looks like this:

This is what MRR said:
FINS
This band plays some great instrumental surf punk songs that have been stuck in my head for days. They make inventive use of the twelve bar blues progressions in a lot of these songs, some of which are more happy-go-lucky while others are more moody, and they strike an interesting balance between a punk energy (which is also pretty well conveyed in the production, actually) and an overall mellow vibe that work really well here. My only complaint is that I don't think they needed to include the live set on this tape, as they already picked their best songs to record, but this is easily ignored. tapes are $4 ppd (other countries get in touch) and i only have a couple left. if you want a tape and a zine i can give you a discount or something. thats pretty much it.
