Kinda hard to read, but worth squinting for:

that is the first time i've ever heard someone refer to a vagina as "the love cave between my legs"

awkward

apparently this one is fake because her account was hacked.

aw man thats a bummer. still was a good laugh though.

dry rot-philistine lp

got this in the mail today. it's really REALLY weird. i still haven't decided what i think of it completely, but it definitely is a great record, if not just for the suprises it brings alone. this is going to raise a few eyebrows for sure.

I just quit my job yesterday. It actually kind of sucked, because I actually liked most of the people I worked with. Which is rare. But I hadn't made more than $20 a shift since I started working there. It was at this fancy tapas-type restaurant that just opened in June, and will probably never make money in Lafayette. I waited for two months for business to pick up and it never did. I figured my time would be better spent dedicating myself to school and homework, and trying to find a better shitty waitressing job.

How many fellow TermBros work food service jobs? For all of the work-related threads I've read recently, I haven't heard that many people bitch about waiting tables.

i work at papa johns in a small suburb in illinois across the river from st. louis and everyone at my work talks about how great ICP and Korn are and have eyebrow piercings. its the worst thing ever, but the best part is coming home and telling my friends about all the rediculous conversations i get to listen to, like this one manager who has tribal all over his body and even going up his neck talking about how he got to hang out backstage with Mudvayne and how bad ass they were. when these kind of conversations are directed my way i just nod my head and smile and throw up horns and that seems to appease them.

dude this alblum rules! especially the sound clips

lifes halt aren't kiddie core thrash in the least, and i only brought them up because one of the members of broken needle was in lifes halt as well. knife fight is pretty good, i like the first 2 7"s but don't care much for the newer stuff. youth attack can suck it minus maybe 1/8 of their output which includes the repos, la piovra, surf nazis must die, jellyroll rockheads, and cult ritual.

Nah, total kiddiecore, sorry.  File alongside No Reply, WHN and Scholastic Deth in the annals of totally forgotten Y2K thrash.

yeah, i agree that they've been forgotten, but i think all those bands are great! especially scholastic deth man. max ward rules!

and that life's halt what happens next split is great too! cheesy maybe, but still good. positive youth, it's not just for kids anymore!

Cool.  You're into screamo and new school stuff, right?

no, just not into boring rehashed hardcore, sorry. lifes halt was way better then this band could ever be anyways.

No need to get your panties in a bunch, I just thought you were the kid getting excited about Youth Attack releases.

I vaguely remember seeing Life's Halt, but all that kiddiecore thrash blended together for me...see the reasoning behind liking Broken Needle above.

BROKEN NEEDLE EP, think it's on Schizophrenic.  Trying to look up the label a minute ago, I was a bit dumbfounded to discover that one of the members is in mosh band TERROR, but this is real deal hardcore in the vein of TALK IS POISON, SUICIDE PARTY, KNIFE FIGHT or other recent outfits clearly inspired by the early American hardcore that was fast and rough without falling into simple thrash.  The aggression is pure and undiluted, the delivery unrelentingly quick and direct, but the songs are structured and there's enough variation to make this a collection of real songs, not just a blur of noise.

i've heard that band is sweet live but on record i think they sound really boring

the cult ritual and salvation 12"s really haven't grabbed me at all.

that cult ritual was/is way overhyped, but still really good. it took some getting used to for me though i think my favorite is still the 2nd 7". so blown out and insane sounding!

would like to get one of these used instead of paying full price, willing to spend around 50 bucks, maybe a little more, its negotiable. if i could get my hands on one of the models from the 80s that would be nice because i've heard they are superior, but i'll take what i can get. if you have one of these and you want to sell it please get in touch. thanks.
